This is the resultant effect of metal scavengers. Drainage Manhole covers are being removed by this so-called "metal pickers ". Is it only in Festac Town that we see things like this?

It's becoming like a norm, and it's also becoming like all over except in the North these scavengers won't just rest, a child coming back from school fell into one of them in Benin.

Scavenging should be made illegal and anyone doing it should be jailed for life.

Until a prominent person is affected before laws and actions will be taken against this menace. That hole can destroy a future simply by just falling inside and losing a leg.

The scavengers, buyers should be meted with heavy jail term if caught. The markets were such businesses occur should be shutdown permanently or heavy fines imposed on the whole traders in such markets making them Watchmen over themselves. only such heavy sanctions can prevent this evil.

I lost a good front tyre to man hole just a month ago. I Had to buy another tyre for 35k later when I went to my mechanic to complain that my brake fluid went down too fast. He discovered the ball joint of same side has almost broken and brake hose is licking. I had to spend 15k to fix it.

Come to gowon estate all the man holes have been removed. In fact an entire public water tank disappeared .

They steal iron manholes on the road, creating huge holes that lead to accident, they discard dirt and garbage anywhere they see, the steal cables and iron rods on bridges railings, a sane government will ban them, the government seems to be comfortable raiding boys, but those northern bola boys seems untouchable, despite being a huge nuisance to the state. This is a weakness of the government in Lagos.

They have been banned from coming into my estate.

In my village, someone was prevented from operating scrap metal shops because the last time they had something like that, generators, roofs, gates etc of people started missing.
