LGA funds that were to be channeled to grass-root projects to alleviate poverty were looted for 8 good years..

Within same 8 years, several local government infrastructure’s decayed and poverty alleviation schemes closed which were major reasons to the rise in poverty rate.

Statistics even has it that, during same period, the rate of suicide spiked due to state economic woes and some people are still celebrating the scam in 2025.
