rebasing means to type big fake paper GDP figures just to deceive there minions and foot soldiers thinking foreign investors will be deceived too. . The rebasing exercise may reflects the evolution of Nigeria’s economy and incorporates imaginary and fictitious figures economic realities. It may also say more than the size of the GDP, but about providing more accurate and comprehensive data for policy formulation and investment decisions- an insider familiar with the process said. |

A high GDP that does not translate to better lives and infrastructure for the people but is mostly stolen is not relevant to the people |

Let us wait and see what the figures will bring Nigeria's economy has taken serious battering under the incompetent people WB even had to warn them after they released the inflation figures to stop cooking data and figures I guess that's why the GDP rebasing took so long |

So they want to doctor the stats and still make it look real? What is the essence of stats without tangible realities. I see this as a mere window dressing. It may actually make the people resent this government the more . |

These APC guys are only interested in toppling South Africa to become the biggest economy in Africa. I hope there are credible international economy-rating agencies that are closely watching their methodology and its application. How can you float your currency and create so much poverty and yet you think you are big? How many jobs has Tinubu created since he came on board? |

Nigeria "TO" regain... Until it regains then we celebrate. But for now, it's pure APC propaganda as expected because of this new coalition. More propagandas like this will be springing from them in this APC administration ahead of 2027. Just like the way they suddenly want to wage war and make available food supply AFTER TWO YEARS. Purely weaponizing poverty. Then later they will share crumbs prior to election like they care so that they can be reflected. It's even the masses that sells their conscience annoys me the most. See some actors shamelessly coming online confessing and saying "THEY felt betrayed because THEY WERE PROMISED MONEY to campaign for Tinubu which was unfulfilled" How long will it sustain you? 4 years or 8 years? Nigerians don't even push & press for accountability. We will... We will... That's all they can keep saying and promising while in office and some mumu defenders will celebrate and use "We will" to campaign and defend. Celebrate "ACHIEVEMENTS" not all these sentimental rubbish. Just watch as this thing will die down just as the 10-DAY ultimatum given to NNPC chairman has long passed and no body is talking about it again. |

/ Rebasing is euphemism for "cooking the book". Some obscure metrics like hookup will be assigned ridiculous dollar valuations for a feel good moment to prop up the GDP. / |
