In the run-up to the 2023 elections, Bola Tinubu, desperate to sanitize his unpopular Muslim-Muslim ticket, shamelessly paraded a group of fake pastors and clergymen dressed in borrowed robes, an insult to the intelligence of Nigerian Christians and a disgraceful mockery of their faith.

It was one of the most cynical acts of political theater ever seen in a Nigerian campaign using religion as a prop and disrespecting millions for cheap political gain.

Now, as 2027 looms, one can’t help but ask: Will Tinubu once again gather another rented crowd of impostors in cassocks to sell his agenda? Or will Nigerians finally see through the disguise?
