The coalition is an experiment by Atiku and El Rufai.

The Obidients are singing different songs. There is disarray in the Obidient camp, with many of the vociferous proponents of the Peter Obi ascendancy suspicious of Peter Obi, like Kenneth Okonkwo, Valentine Ozigbo and LP executives.

The remnants of the media team are busy dishing conditions to Northerners, insisting on a coronation instead of competition for the ticket.

The spokesmen of the coalition, in order to appear busy, has been saying that Tinubu was secretly sabotaging the coalition. He also plants in the media that APC governors and PDP governors intend to defect. Of course, journalists will reach out to governors and they have denied. The denials are published and ADC is talked about.

They also report that PDP Anambra, PDP Kebbi and so on are collapsing their structures to ADC. How relevant is PDP Anambra?

How come no one from LP has formally decamped to ADC? Do not be surprised that those who talk the most are not even members of LP. They are online rabble-rousers, who think the online rants have political value.

Another source of disarray is that different individuals are announcing they'd contest for president under ADC. If ADC was organized, these conversations would have been settled privately before coming together.

This is not how to build a strong opposition/coalition party. Right now, it looks like a coalition of presidential ambitions. A sensible thing would have been to engage in massive rallies nationwide to sell the party to the electorate. Right now, them Atiku, El Rufai, Obi, and Amaechi would be working underground to build bridges while the spokesman would be crafting intelligent alternative policies and market them to the public.

As Atiku's media team was pedestrian during his last campaign, so is the media of ADC.

If they continue on this trajectory, both Atiku and Obi can kiss goodbye to their 2027 ambitions.

With the level of oppression, assault, intimidation and name calling of PO by opposing elements you would wonder if he really came third in the last election.

I personally ran an opinion poll on people of diverse ethnic backgrounds on my third party Facebook page on my followers prefered candidate in a closed voter posting and out of 108 respondents, 91 votes for PO.

There is something fundamentally strange about the phenomenon attached to Peter Obi.

He is not the most articulate, not the most outstanding in his class of Governors, not the most academic qualified but just has unsolicited die-hard followership.
