If the rest candidates apart from Obi will step down today and declare their support for Obi even the UFOs in the galaxy will be so happy. They candidates would have written their names in gold. If they all want a better Nigeria they should do this noble act as they will still achieve great things with the government of Obi by then. I still believe Obi going to ADC is a wrong move, his numbers at the last polls shows that he really doesn't need a new platform, what he needs is strong alliance up north. A great Negotiation and alliance with Kwankwaso will be a lot more beneficial. The gladiators in ADC are too many and the champions in politics are too strong for Obi.

I still believe Obi will decamp from ADC because they won't give him the ticket and by that time it might be a little too late to form an alliance.

The 2027 elections is going to be the most expensive and voter financially induced election in our history.

Firstly, Atiku is not as financially buoyant as he was in 2023.

It is puzzling to see the excessive hype around a serial party defector who lacks any clear political ideology. His eight-year tenure in a small state like Anambra was marked by underwhelming performance. There is nothing exceptional about him — neither in governance nor in intellect. What we see is a social media fabrication, aggressively promoted by a vocal minority desperate to smuggle him into Aso Rock.

How come no one from LP has formally decamped to ADC? Do not be surprised that those who talk the most are not even members of LP. They are online rabble-rousers, who think the online rants have political value.

Another source of disarray is that different individuals are announcing they'd contest for president under ADC. If ADC was organized, these conversations would have been settled privately before coming together.

This is not how to build a strong opposition/coalition party. Right now, it looks like a coalition of presidential ambitions. A sensible thing would have been to engage in massive rallies nationwide to sell the party to the electorate. Right now, them Atiku, El Rufai, Obi, and Amaechi would be working underground to build bridges while the spokesman would be crafting intelligent alternative policies and market them to the public.

As Atiku's media team was pedestrian during his last campaign, so is the media of ADC.

If they continue on this trajectory, both Atiku and Obi can kiss goodbye to their 2027 ambitions.

His 6 .1 million votes has increased same as Atiku but to avoid taking chances Obi has made the sacrifice to support Atiku. Of course Atiku will take him onboard as VP. Obi will struggle to beat tinubu and Atiku in one election. Obi can beat one at a time but in the present situation Obi's concern is not occupying the Villa but seeing that Nigerians are better governed and teaming up with Atiku is best option. Atiku may have his issues but he is not as bad as painted.

No imposition or coronation in democracy. Transparent primaries must be taken to gain the confidence of the citizens.
