Pauladex:There was no indication your statement was sarcasm! Your statement alone can really escalate the issue. Besides, how many would understand an indirect meaning from a direct sentence? |

I can't understand this silly obsession with titles especially amongst igbos. Can't you just respect yourself and have a president or chairman of an association in diaspora? any small thing person don drag iron condemn throne and stick come outside, it's really embarrassing. What are you trying to prove? This is behavior also seen amongst black Americans post-slavery , could this be a result of the unspoken oppression by the Nigerian contraption as well ? a good research topic for sociology students out there |

muhammaduyusufu:The Igbo would appear to have learnt little from their experiences living in the space settled in by others. The same attitude that got the Igbo bad Press in Nigeria is what they have displayed in Ghana. |

If we pull out our investments from Ghana, can the economy survive it? They should ask Lagosians about what happened in the stock market when we nearly pulled out. Up till now we are still receiving thank you messages simply because we later stayed back. |

I don’t even know what to call it either hate of fear of Ibo community because Yoruba and Hausa have their respective leader (call it King for Yoruba) with no fear of hijacking their land. Ibo should just leave their country I come back home abeg |

Metrofox:There is surely something interesting here, as majority of black Americans trace their roots to the Igbos. The need to overcompensate, loudness and boastfulness, insistence on clannish behaviors all resulting from low self esteem |

Some people from this tribe like trouble and love to be disrespected. What is this? Why The few who obviously suffer from some sort of complex and mental illness are so loud and out of control. This is completely unbelievable. You now see that when Yoruba resist, it’s not hate. No other society, not even Oyinbo will ever accept such effrontery. |

Mariangeles:I guess it's just a way to feel connected to their roots but like U said a cheiftaincy title would have made more meaning but their ego and inflated pride will make men do and undo. And that they're not even recognised as kings or title holders back home says a lot too. It's all shades of wrong |

Emnyte:Nobody asked your help. Just stop opposing it and writing endless propaganda against a good course. You claim you did not oppose it but your fathers fought war to keep Igbos with you despite the leadership of Igbos agreeing at the time to exit Nigeria, you didn't know about that part of history? Of course we know that politicians might not support it because they are part of the fraud Biafra wants to take care of, but you ordinary citizen, what have you been benefiting from the one Nigeria? |

Ghanaians are being insecure for nothing. There's nothing wrong with a group of people in a foreign land forming an association and appointing a leader. Or is there no freedom of association in Ghana? There's Igbo Community in Kano with their Eze and it has never affected the cultures and traditions of the Hausas there. Not to talk of a country as big as Ghana with ancient traditions. They're worried that an Igbo association is a threat to them. Well, I think the hatred for the Igbos have been brewing for a long time and they're just looking for an avenue to air it out because this doesn't make sense in any way. |

ZoomTravels:It's not just about them. The people who sat down to draft the arrangement for this country where from different parts of this country and had their own interests at heart. Every generation of military or civil leaders since then has been thesame. You think they are fighting a fight for all but they are for themselves. Once their plans start failing, they throw in the ethnic or religious card. Ojukwu was not fighting for Biafrans, he was part of the Nigerian military. When things didn't go his way, he turned around to use the Biafra card. He proved that when he contested for presidency. A man that led a war that claimed millions of Biafran lives had no excuses wanting to president of a country he wedged war against. Gowon himself wanted to keep power and of cause would rally his men along religious and ethnic grounds. We saw what happens at the last elections when Tinubu wanted power at all costs but obi had the advantage. They just threw in ethnic brouhaha, the next thing that happened was that yorubas who were in support of obi began working in Yoruba interest and then threats to Biafrans in Lagos. We saw how the north defended buhari even though he was clearly an abysmal failure. What am I trying to say? We have a people problem. The issues are within us. I often get to wonder how we are so similar and yet so different. How the they manage to pull us together? Ghana has different tribes and religions but hardly hear of conflict. They have a strong sense of national consciousness and ethnic religious tolerance |

It's been debunked ,no such protest anywhere against the igbos |

Jeje247:Do you force people that were originally Biafrans into becoming Biafra? What's clear is that there's a space called the old Eastern region, and those areas are Biafra land, anyone opposed to identifying with the original owners of the space might not really be interested in remaining there |

Spiff20:Did you watch the video and see the guy in a throne? They don't trivialise issues there. Similar issue played out recently in Benin city when some Hausa/Fulani wanted to crown a leader in the city last year. They even rented a hall and printed invitations. That plan was shot down immediately by the palace. Next thing you will hear in 50 years time is one mythical story of how they landed from the moon on to the land 2000 years ago |

ILoveNG:That is exactly what they are. There is nothing like Eze Ndigbo outside Igbo Land. It's just a poor choice of words It is the Igbo men who have made too much money that has allowed that money get to their heads to proclaim themselves king. You cannot be king if you are not indigenous to a land and born into the royalty of the people of that land |

Commentor:How many of your land have they forcefully take? How many of your farm and women have they taken forcefully? How many people have they kill in your community? Eze Ndigbo are not meant to govern a non Igbos or enforce any law against anybody. It's just a ceremonial something. |

If it's allowed, imagine what will happen in the next 2-3 generations. So, let's say the truth, and not call it "nothing". You don ever hear oba of Bini something-something outside Bini kingdom? Wetin bad, na the first time wey you hear/see you go know. When you ignore it, it becomes "normal" overtime. Na so Fulani people take start. 🤣 |
