If everybody is complaining about you, don't you think it's time to look inward instead of deflecting blames. Self awareness is not you people's forte anyway
It's a culture. Oyimbo even join Igbos in celebrating it in different European countries, Asian countries, Australia, New Zealand and America. Go on Facebook and watch the videos, very entertaining, only black Africans now see it as an attempt to dominate and take over their land which started from Yorubas.

It's social media that spread it and other black African countries are now copying the Yorubas out of black people's insecurity and foolishness.

Those title carry no weight, they are just ceremonial and it's just among the Igbos communities.

If Igbos do something wrong outside Igbo land, I will be the first to call them out but this very issue is not one of such. They are making unimportant thing to look so important.

There is a popular adage in Igbo culture which the whiteman also collaborated right from colonial era; Igbo enweghi Eze (Igbos have no king)

Igbos don't have much reverence for traditional rulers and title holders like the Yorubas, Hausas, Fulanis, etc. Igbo title holders are mostly ceremonial, they carry no weight or influence among Igbos, only few who are first class kings of ancient Igbo kingdoms carry some level of influence but not compared to that of Yorubas, Hausas, Fulanis, etc, it's a cultural thing.

So this news is borne out of envy, jealousy, envy and unjust hatred towards a people trying to promote their culture outside their ancestral community to give their people a sense of belonging and cultural identity, it is nothing more than that.

I am sure the only thing the Ghanaians are angry about is the said man's purchase of plenty hectares of lands he said he wanted to use to build an Igbo community in Ghana to promote Igbo culture; as insecure black people, they found it intimidating that Igbos want to take over their community, and this they learnt from Yorubas via the social media which makes local news and events to travel globally within seconds in this our generation.

They didn't say the Eze (king) is for Ghanaians but for the Igbos living there ALONE 🤷

Would that be allowed anywhere in Igbo land, if the reverse were the case? The audacity!

Let us condemn what is wrong when we see it, and stop all these victim mentality. It's unbecoming.

Every time "envy, jealousy, hatred", nwi nwi nwi!
I can't stand victim mentality.

A king outside of your ancestral land ?. And you thought that would be welcomed in Africa?. Why not chairman ? And he said he bought land to settle Igbos there ,and you don't think this means something ?

Why would you see anything wrong with it, since it's not strangers in Igbo land crowning for themselves a "king" among Igbo people.

Lousy people. What they can't take is what they give others. Go to their land and see if this can be condone by them.
I don't know why thus people brag so much. And the source of their wealth is always shady.

Jeje247:
It's not just about them. The people who sat down to draft the arrangement for this country where from different parts of this country and had their own interests at heart. Every generation of military or civil leaders since then has been thesame. You think they are fighting a fight for all but they are for themselves.

Once their plans start failing, they throw in the ethnic or religious card. Ojukwu was not fighting for Biafrans, he was part of the Nigerian military. When things didn't go his way, he turned around to use the Biafra card. He proved that when he contested for presidency. A man that led a war that claimed millions of Biafran lives had no excuses wanting to president of a country he wedged war against.
Gowon himself wanted to keep power and of cause would rally his men along religious and ethnic grounds. We saw what happens at the last elections when Tinubu wanted power at all costs but obi had the advantage. They just threw in ethnic brouhaha, the next thing that happened was that yorubas who were in support of obi began working in Yoruba interest and then threats to Biafrans in Lagos.
We saw how the north defended buhari even though he was clearly an abysmal failure.

What am I trying to say?
We have a people problem. The issues are within us.
I often get to wonder how we are so similar and yet so different. How the they manage to pull us together?

Ghana has different tribes and religions but hardly hear of conflict. They have a strong sense of national consciousness and ethnic religious tolerance
It just seems while some are willing to move past the ethnic brouhaha you mentioned, some are clinching hard to it because to do otherwise will give them less reason to hate and hence heal. For a candidate who did as well as Obi did in the SW last election, it’s a shame that the people closely allied to him has turned his candidacy into an ethnic issue as if you wouldn’t need votes from other tribes.

But you have a community in Brazil and other nations manned by traditional rulers.
You want to use this one and score tribal goal.

I only blame those Igbos doing those rubbish abroad all in the name of traditional rulership. Those are not in consonance with Igbos tradition
You're mixing things up. Yorubas in Brazil are as result of slave descendants that gave the cultural mix. As you v said, blame those trying to create kingship in a foreign land.

It is an embarrassment to Igbo people, and disrespectful to the people that accommodated them.
I mean, who crowns a king in a foreign land?
Why not chief, or one of those head titles? Shameless lots!

No "Igbo king" outside Igbo land is recognized as king.
These ones are those that have forgotten their lands, and their way home.
I'm sure there's a perfect term for them.
I'M STILL WONDERING IF SEUN MODIFY SPAM FROM BANNING HATE SPEECH DIRECTED AT IGBOS

If the Ghanaians say they don't want it then it's fine. But let's not read too much negative meaning not the installation of the said Igbo King. Fact is that's the norm with Igbos anywhere they find themselves. It is usually done to rally themselves together and form a strong sense of kinship. Check through history. Igbos have not engaged in any annexation of their host's land or heritage wherever they find themselves. Too bad people don't understand the Igbo culture

You guys don't understand foreign diplomacy.

People live in closed communities when they go abroad.
The Peckham, Sabon geri, Ama-hausa, even the Chinese have this Pink painted empire/estate around Berger.

Everyone still lives under the national law...and they pay tax as due...and you still have freedom to enter those places...but all lands there have been duly acquired from the government or ceded to those aboriginals by the government.
So what is your point. Is this happening in Ghana or UK. British people colonized Nigerians including yoribas so it's understandable if Yorubas have a neighbourhood there. Did Ghanians colonize Igbos or what is the relationship that would warrant someone declaring himself as Eze in Ghana

The sheer arrogance in your statement just shows why you are all treated the way you are everywhere you go. Are you saying Ghanaians have no reasoning of their own? And they listen to Yorubas? When literally your people dominate the social media space and push propaganda constantly. First you blame the black race and then you quickly shifted the post to Yorubas, pick a lie and run with it.

This happened in South Africa where they disrespected the local authorities and locals and we know what happened after. Now Ghana ?
