Eriokanmi:
Okonkwo is just another bwala and reno. He seems to be licking atiku's ass. He knows he can never be in a good book of Obi. He's been spewing jargon lately. How on earth will atiku win any state in the south as it stands today? The only candidate that can do that conveniently is Obi and he knows this. Kenneth belongs to the league of anywhere belle face politicians and his intentions became evident too early while in LP. We need committed Nigerians who will reply move her forward, not the jegudujera like him. Atiku should step down or he'll lose again. Those pushing him are only interested in his dollars. He's going nowhere. Had inec not saved tinubu in 2023 with rigging, obi won that election. Mahmoud, being a fulani man dared not touch atiku's votes. They don't betray each other and that's why he left his votes intact. What happened in rivers and benue alone were enough to drag inec to the world court unfortunately, its a national issue. It wouldn't go beyond Nigeria. I don't see that happening in 2027 except they want to bring Nigeria down in crisis. I'm sure no man's wicked ambition will be worth that.

Peter Obi/Elrufai will seal the deal. Elrufai will capture some core northern states for Obi as the latter clears the middle belt, maybe except kogi. Tinubu can't grab all the south western states. I said he'd lose lagos in 2023 but they called me names. We still dey ground, same 2023 spoilers for tinubu in Lagos and well do it again, if Obi runs. Things were even much better in 2023 than they are now so, Tinubu's chance is slim here. I don't see any miracle that can change that and same will happen in other states in the country. Truth they day, is always bitter. Those supporting him know this deep down, that he has messed up big time.
You are overestimating Peter Obi’s influence and performance in the 2023 presidential election. Your assertion that Obi actually won the election is not supported by the official results or voting patterns. If you examine the Labour Party’s (LP) votes in the 2023 presidential election, it becomes clear that Obi struggled in many parts of the country, especially in the northern states where voter numbers are high. In fact, there are several states in the North where Obi received fewer than 100,000 votes, which is a clear indication of his limited popularity in that region. This was not a result of rigging; rather, it reflected his actual level of support. While there were some allegations of minor irregularities in the South-West, possibly in favor of Tinubu, Obi’s low vote counts in the North are widely genuine, as he simply was not a popular candidate over there.

Obi’s performance was also underwhelming in some parts of the Middle Belt, such as Kogi, Niger, and Kwara states, although he did manage to do relatively well in Plateau, Nasarawa, Benue and FCT. In Kaduna, Obi performed better than expected, despite the influence of figures like El-Rufai, but El-Rufai’s political reach does not extend much beyond Kaduna itself. This suggests that Obi does not need any alliance or support from El-Rufai to win in those places making him unsuitable for vice-presidential slot. An alternative northern politician who could significantly boost Obi’s chances is Kwankwaso, given his strong following in Kano and other parts of the North. However, Kwankwaso is unlikely to agree to play a vice-president role to Obi, and even if such an alliance were to happen, their chances of winning would still be uncertain—essentially a 50/50 proposition.

On the other hand, Atiku remains the most formidable northern candidate, having secured over six million votes in 2023. If Atiku and Obi were to combine their support bases, they could present a strong challenge to Tinubu, but the reality is that Obi would likely have to settle for the vice-presidential slot in such an arrangement. Even then, there is no guarantee of victory, as the power of incumbency in Nigeria is very strong and it is historically difficult to unseat a sitting president. Looking ahead to 2027, it is likely that any rigging or electoral manipulation would be even more pronounced in the South-West, where Yoruba voters are expected to remain loyal to Tinubu regardless of his performance. There is also a real risk that opposition voters, particularly Igbos, could face obstacles or even violence in Lagos and other western states, making it difficult for them to win those areas.

It is also important to note that, despite criticism of his first term, many people may still vote for Tinubu in 2027. Unlike former President Jonathan, who allowed the will of the people to prevail for the sake of peace, Tinubu will do whatever it takes to retain power, potentially staying in office until 2031. By that time, both Obi and Atiku may have retired from active politics due to age, especially since Obi has hinted that 2027 could be his last presidential contest. Considering all these factors, it is clear that the chances of either Atiku or Obi becoming president are quite slim under the current political circumstances.

Peace!

My Dear Kenneth Okonkwo has lost his political bearing, his root and foundation. He should be guided by the consequences of FFK trajectory. This is how FFK played, switching allegiance up and down, left, right and Centre and today he is seeking relevance in international politics.

Bar. Ken please watch it very well. Some of your fans are no longer comfortable with your positions.

Be wiser please.

10 to 7 actually. 2 years Yar Adua and 8 Buhari vs. 5 years GEJ and 2 years Tinubu.
I want to pretend you didn't know that president Goodluck Jonathan was sworn in on 6th May 2010, which is five years. As for Obasanjo, the likes of Alex Ekwueme and Atiku had presidential ambitions within the PDP, but I want to pretend you didn't know why the leading candidate going into 1999 elections were two Yorubas. I also want to believe you thought it was a coincidence that OBJ who emerged as the winner was from the same state as the winner of the 1993 elections.
I honestly don’t understand a thing you just wrote. If you’re going to respond, please be more explicit and coherent.

I gave a clear and detailed analysis of the regions that have held power since 1999. If you disagree, then I expected a factual, well-reasoned counterpoint, not this kind of beer-parlor gossip.

Let’s raise the level of this conversation. If we’re going to talk about power dynamics and national leadership, then let’s do it with substance, not sentiments.

Kenneth Okonkwo is erroneously equating Nollywood with politics.

It's obvious his beef with PO is getting the better of him.

For him to even say he would support a northern candidate, Atiku in particular, in the 2027 presidential election, is an indication of someone cutting off his nose in other to spite his face.

Undeniably, he is entitled to support whoever he prefers. It's his right.

However, he should be reminded that the right of Southerners to complete their eight years in office is not negotiable.

After all, one good turn, they say, deserves another.

Besides, no vacancy exists in Aso Villa.

Tinubu till May 28, 2031!

@hotseat
Nzogbu nzogbu has made u people not to accept reality. The core north will never vote obi. They won't gamble with a man who try to use religious sentiment to enter Aso rock. Obi time as passed. You guys should be strategizing against 2039 presidency and present a non tribal and religion bigot then.

Kenneth Okonkwo is becoming more erratic than ever before. He supported Peter Obi in 2023 but now that the coalition is in place, and the much needed structure required for Obi to be more acceptable to the larger electorates is in the offing. Alas! Kenneth is subjectively demarketing Obi's candidature.

Only if the likes of Atiku can forget about their desperate ambition and allow Obi to fly the coalition's flag, then Tinubu will be like Goodluck Jonathan in 2027.

If we want Tinubu out, lets do the smart thing.
Going by your assertion, Atiku is prime.
In the 3 horse race, Atiku defeated Obi and was closest to defeating Tinubu, if not for the neutral votes that Obi won.
The North will play a huge role in whoever wins.
At least, up to half of the Southerners will not vote for Tinubu. Whoever wins the North will swoop the day. Atiku will comfortably dislodge Tinubu if all the coalition rallies behind him.

Is it tinubu that deceived them with same faith ticket they'd vote? Atiku can't win because south must do 8 years, either tinubu continues or obi shares the 2 terms. It will be a north a ganging up against the south. Obi stands a better chance than atiku. If Elrufai runs with him, they'll win with ease. They only need few core north, while obi takes middle belt, except kogi and major states in the south
I believe you, I don't know why some people from the South will rather allow Atiku a Northerner to dwell in the sharing formula of the South just because of the hatred they have for IGBOS....

Atiku if he is sensible enough should know that he has no chance in the affairs of the SOUTH and trying to force himself is a slap and disrespect to the SOUTH which everyone knows that Nobody of the elite parties from the South dare tries to contest during the time of the NORTH...

A Peter Obi / Rufai is possible, both a core Christian and Muslim candidates that will protect the rights of both religions...

Both have been trained by their mentors as well in Politics and have rallies round them before gaining massive supports , even made sure that their votes and physical supports showed a massive turn out ...
