#TrendingPost The Nigerian government is clearly afraid of Peter Obi. He remains the most attacked former presidential candidate in the country by this government. Ironically, many of those now pushing for a coalition with him actually hate him, people like El-Rufai.

I strongly believe this coalition will collapse. If these politicians genuinely care about Nigerians, why didn’t they join Peter Obi in the Labour Party and support him, rather than forming another political alliance?

The truth is, they will never support him, not because he’s unqualified, but because of deep-rooted tribal and religious sentiments.

The truth is he's a lesser evil.
Forget oo, people know everything. Politicians will be doing their things and think that the people are not aware of things. Even if you criticize Obi that he raped his mother people will still prefer him to others because they know he's preferably the lesser evil. Politicians are not to be trusted but character wise citizens know the most preferable.
Only religion and tribalism is stopping that guy from being the president from the crops of politicians available for now

It is a solemn fear, paronia and truth. The Peter Obi phenomenon was under estimated hence the all out attacks here and there. Who is destined can't be stopped.

Many people will not read the content. He is not supporting Peter Obi in anyway. He is only saying the obvious about the coalition which is about people who hate each other coming together and that the coalition will inevitably collapse.

No southern candidate can defeat Tinubu at this time , Obi had a very good chance in 2023 but atiu and Wike spoiled it for him

North should choose between Obi and Tinubu

Nigeria politics is very simple , the political elites that determines who becomes the president will not give power to someone they don't trust or who hasn't been tested . The person may be good but can they trust him or her,reason why they always handpick someone they know very well and they can trust. Believe me Peter Obi is not someone they can trust with absolute power ,they will rather stick with Tinubu who is just like them.
Obi hasn't been tested on a national level ,he needs to win the trust of these elites first

If Obi is fielded against Tinubu, it will be a landslide victory for Obi.

No Northerner has won Tinubu in Lagos since 1999, Obi did it with a landslide. Obi got about 1 million votes that was suppressed to 530k. He did this with a small party.

Apart from Lagos, Obi won the South convincingly
