I have a PPA in mind already, how do I inform nysc so they don't give me another place?

Also, I am supposed to go for 2025 batch A stream 2, but I redeployed and just got my new call up letter today, when I'm supposed to be in camp. Is it possible for me to show up at camp a day late? Are there repercussions ?

Greetings guys

Good morning everyone. Please, I have a problem. If anyone can help:

I did direct posting with my coursemates. We used the same person. All of them got their desired state except me (mine was Rivers — even people that did Abj and Lagos worked). I was posted to Ekiti. I had just 2 days to arrange my things and leave. The person I used for the direct posting said something was wrong with my registration. I asked him what, and he said he doesn't know.

I was among the first persons to register. I didn’t experience any issue. My call-up number showed up at the expected time — no delay — just that it's Ekiti instead of my intended Rivers. I thought maybe it's an error from his end or something else, so I just left for Ekiti and decided to do relocation.

I asked around, and my friends sent me this other guy. They said he is the best; he has never failed anyone. He handles Abj and Lagos. I reached out and he did the relocation.

I waited till yesterday, only to get the feedback that it didn’t work — that every other person he did for worked.

Right now, I am so tired. I have a wedding just a few months from now, and I can't afford to do my PPA in Ekiti.

PLEASE, HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS BEFORE? And what can I do? I don’t just want to come back to Ekiti once I leave here tomorrow. We are exiting camp tomorrow, and I don’t want to come back. I just need a solution.

If it’s truly my registration, how can I know what is wrong, and how can it be fixed?
Will I still be able to be relocated without going back to Ekiti?
What options do I have right now?

Why is nobody telling you the exact reason why it didn't work? What is your course of study, state of origin?

More so, camp is closing tomorrow which means no batch B stream 2 corps member has seen relocation yet. How did they conclude that others relocation worked but yours didn't?

He said that out of the 15 persons he worked with, he has already gotten relocation approval for all of them — only mine is still showing “processing.” He mentioned that maybe something is wrong with my details.

I’m worried because that’s exactly what the first person who did the redirect posting said too, and he never told me what was wrong.

But I just confirmed from my friends: none of the Ekiti corpers in my room has seen their relocation approval yet. My plug reached out and said he is working on it and should update me 2–5 days after camp.

Even at that, if there’s anything I need to do to ensure this doesn’t fail, please let me know.

Nothing that I know. If possible that it eventually fails, you can find someone else to help you run it.

Has anyone received his or last month allawee?

First of all, you cannot register for NYSC twice. Secondly, getting exempted from NYSC is not a matter of choice. You fall in that category because you tick some certain conditions. You can read this post for insight.

Disclaimer: I speak from Lagos Camp experiences...other camps in other states and how they function may be different but any answer I provide should give you a general guide. I encourage you to conduct your own research and get a varied source for whatever information you seek.

***added 07/02/16 - I am so happy that this thread has actually helped out thousands of people...people commenting, answering and helping each other and those viewing in ghost mode We have literally gone from just NYSC camp related experiences to JAMB to all sorts..lol... Gives me goosebumps (Err...maybe not...but..) Thanks to everyone that has helped me out. Couldn't have done it without y'all. Remember, if you need me to address any questions just say my NAME and I'll come running (well...not literally)...and hopefully I'll know or help you find out the answer. Cant answer any questions on JAMB though

So looking to open a whatsapp group so that you guys can get help and answers real time and also easily link up with any Corp members in your state. Eg: if you have just arrived at camp and need a question answered real quick...that type of scenario. If I get 20 or more people show interest, I will open it. Just let me know. Tag me with your number!!! It should be a platform that can help with job opportunites, further education (home and abroad) CV building and mentoring, etc

If the PPA is registered with NYSC, all you have to do is, work your posting to the State where the PPA is, make sure to get a placement letter from them indicating they want you to be posted to their organisation, then submit that letter at the orientation camp.

PS: I'm also a PCM, but this is what I was told.

I registered since April, I was in Batch A but then i got pushed to Batch B now newly registered Batch B are getting their call up No. Before me, is that normal?

There's no newly registered Batch B. Those getting call-up numbers equally registered since Batch A. Be patient for your time.
