It is very simple to spot parents that never love their kids from day 1.
Like me I was never loved from day 1 by d so call parents .

1) no child fond memories

2) no single group pic with them as a kid and as an adult

3) They never care about you or how you make your money as long as you send them money

4) I was hospitalized for one good month , my dad one day never call or ask about my well bring

5) the worst thing that can ever happen to you as child is having both parents coming from a polygamous family , no single love.

6) imagine your mum from a polygamous family and your dad from a polygamous family coming together to get ma, worst nightmare parents combination .

Just move or if you cant move then take revege on them for causing you so harm.
No body force them to bring an innocent child like you to suffer this.

If you can't discuss all this you have written above with ur parents that's were the real trauma stems from, children that can't open up about issues they are facing to their parents usually have a very traumatic life cuz abusers realize that and use it to their advantage cuz they know he or she won't tell no one

That's the primary trauma so all parents should make their children comfortable with them, to discuss any issues don't form perfection infront of ur children when they see u have limitations they will be open to u and would want to make you proud.

I have never felt the presence of my father in my life up to now. Bro abandoned me and my mother for 8yrs when I was a kid, I still out of compassion send him money sometimes but the one that broke me most was that I was in prison for over a month and bro didn't even call or check up on me even after I came out on bail he never reached out to me and I am his only son we've not spoken for almost a year now

I guess you felt like they even doubted you so much that it made you paranoid.

At 40s, whenever i visit home , my mim still serve me food with care, i pray i show the love to my kids, parental love is a good memory you relish forever..... Imagine Jesus love

What to do with such information? Better don't fail yourself and your God. Nobody owes you anything in this life, the earlier you know that, the better for the whole world.
People just choose to keep their lives bitter and blame others and circumstances for how their life is instead of taking life and making the best of it. There are several people with happy childhood memories and loving parents that turned out bad, their parents are still lamenting about what went wrong.

Not all parents are to be blamed. They were raised that way and just believe that is how to raise a child . They didnt have internet or great sources of information to help with child upbringing. WhenYou have your own kids , you will do somethings as a parent and suddenly realize you are acting exactly like your parents . You have to consciously break the cycle .

Sorry . Try to sit with them and discuss those things with them . Even if they are unrepentant , they will know what you think of their past actions

My dad was very hard but he provided us everything.

I mean every thing as far as his income could carry.

He used to pay our school fees very early,provided food for us and made sure we eat on or before 8 am everyday till we became teenagers.

My dad chai may God continue to bless him for me. He has Retired now but I treasure his sense of family care and his ability to care of us.

He never failed us.

Obviously but we have to read from other users of this platform from such a family set up their experiences aswell.

There's a fallacy here. My point is parenting is different within different parents. Most of these things you deride your parents for are not a yardstick to label bad or unloving parents. I have the most worthy parents on earth. Yet, my dad was raised through the polygamous way. My mom too.

Don't be carried away by the lovey-dovey, clingy kinda parenting that's popular around. While it's reassuring and soothing, not every parents are tailored to do that. In fact, it wasn't a commonly expressed custom in those days in Nigeria, until now. Too much dotting isn't an automatic measure of love.

Despite not having much, my parents both gave me and my brother the best of things any child can get from their parents, character. While not every parent call their children or something, they show love in their own unique ways. I'm not sure we have one family picture or something like that, but my parents are extremely lovable.

My parents won't do the hugging or petting or something like that, my dad very hardly calls (unless things happen) but they'll pour their soul into raising us. I'm glad my parents raised me the cold way because I had a huge tendency to be a lout while growing up, and dotting on me might have really spiraled my demeanour. Thank God for my parents.

May God please, in His finite mercies, grant them a long life, happy and hale life, and bless us their children so that we give them a wonderful life to enjoy. Ameen

You'd better cherish your parents now while they're still alive. Some of them weren't even loved with amount of love they give, although covertly. You'll understand when you become a parent.

Another parent bashing thread. If you are fortunate enough to have good parents, be grateful to God. If otherwise, accept it as your test in life. Never say as much as "uff" to them.

They nor love you and still yet they feed and carter for you, even when you fall sick they nor leave you to die, till yr you become adult who paid for your school fees from kg to university, all this children when nor know watin be life when you start having children you will understand life better

Hmmmn this goes a long way to tell us that some people are wicked based on some of the things they had encounter among their family, though some may outgrow it while some will continue the circle there by raising emotional damaged Individual into the society.

People who have loving parents don’t know what God and the universe did for them.
