No Igbo migrated from Ile ife . From history Igbos have been there even before Ile ife.
Young man, you are correct. His Royal Highness Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe CFR, mni is the present ruler of ONITSHA. He knows the history of his ancestors as handed over to him as the custodian. He will hand it over to the next generation. Before I was born, the history has been there. Late Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe said it, all the late Igwe said it.

All the Social Media history manipulations and computer graphics cannot change real history

I can have issues with Tinubu and some Yourobas, but you this Ooni ehn? I like the man die! I like seeing him always - no homo.
Since the day I watched his interview on one NTA program some years ago, naim I don like the man.

Just as T-pain is the walking symbol of corruption in Nigeria; Ooni of Ife represents unity. He is a unifier. A detribalized man. As a human, he may have his shortcomings (especially with women), he is indeed a great guy. I wish I would meet him one-on-one someday
Na them! 😆

Awesome!! This is an epic picture. The King of Ga visited Ile Ife few months ago and rededicated their ancestral ties with Ile Ife and Yoruba race.

The Ga-speaking peoples are organized into six independent towns (Accra, Osu, Labadi, Teshi, Nungua, and Tema). They are indigenous landowners of Accra. They are descendants of Yoruba who migrated to present day Ghana long ago and they proudly identify with their Ile Ife and Yoruba roots.

Yoruba culture has always been very influential and powerful. Many cultures die when far away from their ancestral homeland and especially during the trans Atlantic slave period, only Yoruba culture and religion survived and remained intact wherever the Yoruba migrated to

Below is the picture of the famous Yoruba House located in the Caribbean island of the Bahamas. Yoruba House is dedicated to freed Yoruba slave descendants.
lies , the GA people Re through Israel. They are the levi tribe of Israel, they are priests and are don't involve in wars , they only worship God via a river, their exodus was due to the Arab genocide , the settled at lokoja before heading to the gold Coast, they are known and the igala tribe in Nigeria. Old Oyo Empire is not the source of the Yoruba people. Stop diluting history.
Ile-Ife is the source and the people of Ga in Ghana acknowledge it as their source too.
Ile Ife is the source and spiritual headquarters.
Oyo Empire was political. They fought wars and conquered territories.

Very true..

Oyo empire was a very strong & influential one. They made warriors out of both men & women. They fought wars and didn’t lose any. When Nupe people invaded Oyo back then, they couldn’t defeat Oyo so they changed their mind and succumbed. They started living with Oyo people, married Yoruba women and by the time they wanted to leave back to their region, their Yoruba wives followed them..

This is one of the reasons why Yoruba are many in Niger state till date. The late King of Niger state royal Tinubu *Jagaban of Borgu* for historical relation and other reasons..
Interesting. I remember that Sango was related to
Nupes. The reality is that it's difficult for any culture to overshadow the Yoruba culture. That's why wherever Yorubas have settled, the culture remains strong till today. Also, most Fulanis in Ilorin can only speak Yoruba and most bear Yoruba names. Nupes were absorbed in Lagos too. The Yorubas in Ilorin still have their oriki and maintain the culture apart from religious rules and obligations.

Bump.

Indeed, Sango's biological mother was a Nupe or Tapa.

The Nupes of Lagos Island and parts of Eko Epe largely evolved from the Oshodi-Tapa lineage. Balogun Oshodi-Tapa was a Nupe prince who was captured in the early 1800s by the Fulani Jihadist raiders and sold into SLAVERY. He was about to be put on a slave ship on Eko Island when he broke free and ran into a shrine. Ifa divination was consulted and instructed that he she be set free.
That was how he ended up working in the Eleko of Ekos Palace as a "butler" (Oshodi) and later became a warrior for Oba Kosoko who fled to Epe after the British bombarded Lagos Island to stop the slave trade. The so-called Jihadists lied that they were bringing a purer Islam from the year 1804 in Hausaland to the Fula attacks on Kanuriland raiding for war captives who they sold as slaves, The Middle Belt (raiding for slaves and stealing lands of indigenous people), Nupeland, then Ilorin and parts of Yorubaland before several military forces from Ibadan army and more decisively defeated them in 1840 at the famous Battle of Osogbo, then at Otun-Ekiti where another band of Fula bandits Jihadists were defeated.

The Fulanis are of direct White North African Berber paternal ancestry (Morocco and Algeria) who evolved and migrated from the Mauritania region and are NOT up to 22 million in the whole of West Africa hence they are even NOT indigenous to Nigeria but invaders parasiting on the lands of largely the majority Hausas who are currently revolving angrily in videos (against the Fula political hegemony) that I have seen claiming that ALL the Governors of Hausa States including the Deputy Governors are Fulanis with NO single Hausa since 1999.

Even the foreign Fulani herdsmen and bandits have been killing indigenous Hausas and pushing them out of their lands and renaming them with Fulani names. The angry female and male Hausas have been calling on other Nigerians, Yorubas and Ibos, etc, to assist them in breaking the grip of these minority foreign Fulanis on the political landscape of Hausaland and Nigeria which has held Nigeria down for decades.

Those videos by the Hausa folks against the Fula political domination are still online as I speak.

My pleasure.

Last but not least, YOU can first quickly watch the video right BELOW from the timestamps 7:24 to 10:27 in order to have a better historical understanding of who the Fulanis are as non-indigenous people of Nigeria who are of North African White Berber nomadic paternal descent as stated by one of the 2 Fulanis towards the end of the video.
