PRESS RELEASE

Delusion As Distraction

In response to recent inquiries from journalists and concerned Nigerians regarding a phantom meeting where His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar, was said to have "rejected calls to step down for a southern candidate," we are compelled to set the record straight in the strongest possible terms:

There was no such meeting. Atiku Abubakar was never in attendance. The entire story is a malicious fabrication — pure fiction cooked up in the propaganda kitchens of the Tinubu-led APC regime.

It is not only false; it is laughably desperate.

This is nothing but a diversionary tactic — an attempt by a faltering administration to sow discord within the opposition ranks and derail the momentum gained by the successful unveiling of the ADC as the coalition’s political vehicle.

Let it be known:
No amount of propaganda, planted stories, or faceless briefings will fracture the resolve of the opposition coalition. We are united, focused, and determined to rescue Nigeria from the clutches of this rudderless government.

We want to remind the ruling party that Nigerians have already embraced the ADC as the most credible and viable opposition platform ahead of 2027. The massive and growing support that the ADC continues to enjoy across the country is not just encouraging - it is a clear signal that the Tinubu administration is living on borrowed time.

We call on Nigerians and the media to treat the so-called “statement” with the contempt it deserves. It bears no attribution, no credibility, and no truth.

Signed:
Atiku Media Office

Why are some Coalition members afraid of contesting a free and fair open primaries with Atiku Abubakar ?

It isn't just about the Dollars he has because they also have dollars to splash out if they decide to...

Their fear is the popularity of the man amongst Northern delegates especially...

And any candidate that can attract a substantial portion of the Northern delegates will eventually win the primaries...

Peter Obi should be careful and wise

He should reject calls from his Obidients camp not to run as VP to Atiku Abubakar...

Without the so called Obidient movement they both secured 12 million+ votes in 2019

If they decide to withdraw their "support" because he is a running mate to Atiku Abubakar this time around, no problem

Both of them will still defeat Jagaban

Atiku Abubakar is a sure path for Peter Obi or any South Easterner to enter Aso Rock.....

They both need each other and should be encouraged to work together.
Re: Re: Atiku Rejects Southern Call To Step Down, Demands Open Primary - Paul Ibe by emkz:
The opposition should be fair to Atiku.

Asking Atiku to step down for Peter Obi is undermining to Atiku.

Let Obi fight for the ticket like a man. If he wins the ticket, let him run.

If he feels he cannot compete, let him stay in LP and run there.

The attacks on Atiku are not fair and reflect the modus operandi of the Obidients, a strategy which alientated those initially sympathetic to their principal.

I am not a fan of Atiku, but he worked the most for this coalition than anyone else. Where was Obi when Atiku was doing the ground work? Now food is ready, the Obidients are dictating.

Are the Obidients ready for leadership or they just enjoy the social media noise?

Atiku's desperation is why he hasn't been president.

If he had remained in PDP and worked with GEJ, he must have completed his 8 years by now.

Instead of him to allow Obi complet Southern Nigeria's turn, he's still desperate.

If Obi is not in ADC, they won't perform better than PDP did in the last election.

Only delusional Obidients will believe this damage control. Atiku is the presidential candidate of ADC, Obi either collect VP or chased out.

When Peter Obi came out in 2021, everyone supported him because he came alone and the masses needed someone that isn't aligning with corrupt politicians......

Today, the likes of Obi, Elrufai, Atiku, David Mark and the rest of the confused coalition partners only want one thing, the presidential title.

In the race to become the next most sorted for, these individuals are not serious about their pursue for a better Nigeria but for their personal interests....

These sets of people seek for this position in the last election and still applying for it..... without shame.

All I can say is "big shame to APC".

If they are doing so well as they would have people believe, why them are they so scared?
