adenigga:When Idris Abdukareem said this in his song 🎶 y’all thought it was a joke? Go and listen to song titled Tell your papa by Idris Abdukareem you will know how many times this road is being used to deceive Nigerians, borrowing a huge sum of trillions to build a road without in this current hard situation, Nigeria is not getting better anytime soon |

By the time Nigeriams realize all Tinubu is doing on this so called coastal road is for him and his family benefits ,It will be too late …you should write it down and history will tell |

aribisala0:Well said bro. Some people in the same south won’t agree with you because the road didn’t pass through their region directly, but they will be the one to enjoy it more because of the spur that link to theirs. Also because of their hatred for Tinubu- they won’t see the benefit of the project. Same people are already aligning to buy all the lands on the Lagos corridor for development before the government put a stop to it. Confused people indeed. I agree with your viewpoint. Naija delta deserves this road. The road will connect all the Niger delta states. I don’t care how much will be spent to develop it. It must be done at all cost because this will be the only major project to connect the region. |

Front0lane:this thing when u Dey do no make sense.country is drowning and you are being ethnic.why do we abandon old projects that can be maintained to embark on brand new ones.theres an existing road from Lagos to calabar so why this.the second naija bridge was also a political project.if u drive through the place u will notice that people hardly use. |

aribisala0:Though your statements sound tribalistic to me, but you are not far from the truth. Northern Nigeria benefits more in terms of infrastructural, human and capital development yet, they are the most poorest and backward region in the country. If a railway is connected from Lagos to Onitsha to Aba or from Abuja to Onitsha to Aba, believe me most agitation in the east will reduce. Though I am not a Tinubu supporter, but the Lagos Calabar coaster highway if completed, will be one of the best legacy he will be remembered for. |

What are the conditions for the loans? .... these guys are borrowing and borrowing and the lenders will lend because they know what they're getting in return since Nigeria will not be able to make the payments as per contract. Loans for oil....will this loan be tied to our cobalt or some other of our natural resources? All the loans and yet we cannot see progress White elephants everywhere |

Front0lane:Second Niger bridge was in case the first one collapsed and understandable. It is less expensive and even a LG can shoulder the burden alone. This is a different case here. They are just wasting funds to build a road they can dominate and toll into the future when out of power. |

adenigga:Is it that the savings accruable from the subsidy removal can't be used in financing this overbloated contract that Tinubu awarded to his business partner? |
| Re: FG Secures $747 Million Loan For Lagos-Calabar highway by Zeebuy: 8:17am On Jul 10, 2025 |
Barclaycard:This is a very daft and incredibly useless take on this matter. There are other roads connecting all the states which are in dire need of repairs but your useless government chose to throw billions into a single road and you make excuses for them. Have you plied on the Akwa Ibom - Calabar road? Don't you think the useless government should fix these roads and use those billions of dollars to work on electricity? Lest I forget, this same government told us they've saved billions of naira on subsidy removal and so won't need to borrow again, but here they are borrowing billions of dollars and mortgaging your future. I don't just understand the kind of fellows I share a country with. And e sure me say you dey support based on he's your tribesman |

aribisala0:Oga slow down when you want to lie. At the time Abuja was built the gulf war was ongoing and there was a windfall in revenue due to increased crude oil prices following the war. Nigeria was not in a trying period then. Please stop deceiving people. |

Irony1:Please explain what Lie I told You know it is not necessary to be rude or offensive to disagree or dispute facts If I was in the same room with your father he cannot say that to me This is a fact. I am not boasting . He will not sit down to greet me or shake my hand if I offer it The fact that you meet people online does not give you licence to address them rudely So clarify what lie I told |

swaggs42:Lol It'll be a privilege to meet me. In economics, theres something called a Scale of Preference. In Nigeria, what's more important? Constant electricity for everybody? Or coastal road that some people will never use? |

Thieves in power. Just watch, not even $100 million will be used for the supposed “completed and commisioned section 1” ( according to Reno O’monkey) of the project. Most will be stolen while the remaining balance will be used to buy Almajiri votes in 2027. |

aribisala0:Fairness in the distribution of resources will be to do something that EVERY Nigerian would feel. Something beneficial to everybody. Eg constant electricity. NOT coastal road. No apologies if my usage of the word "HUMONGOUS" riles you up. Grab a dictionary. |

So there is no bridge on the Niger before that can be maintained before, talk about being tribal. highchief1:Same way this road is in case the other get damaged or overused. If the LG coukd have done it why did they wait for the FG. So other roads in Nigeria n across the globe are not tolled ba ? CodeTemplarr:So this will not ease traffic n increase productivity ba ?! Only road built for Igbos ease traffic n increase productivity. And you people talk about bigotry ?! kinguwem: |

What's the essence of fuel subsidy removal that's hurting Nigerians when Tinubu's government is still borrowing to build infrastructure exactly same way Buhari borrowed before he could build infrastructure |

Front0lane:Bridge is not road sir. The bridge is less than 2KM. Thats something two LG can fund without borrowing. One from Delta and another from Anambra. |
