Former Vice Chairman of All Progressives Congress, Mallam Salihu Lukman, has said whoever will fly the ticket of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, coalition in the 2027 election must earn it by winning at the primary.

This comes as the former APC chieftain noted that the party will avoid mistakes made in the past by both former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, among others willing to contest the ticket of the party.

Doing primaries is not challenging.....

If they are so afraid of losing the ticket to Atiku, they better start negotiating for the vice presidential candidate or do a volte face and go back to the Labour party where no one will contest the primary with their god. If they are sure of winning the presidential election without "the structure of criminality", they can give it a solo try once more again. At least they claim 'victory' in 2023, what's the fear about doing it again in 2027.

If oBi goes to the primary , then he shouldn't sacrifice a second term.. he should do it in full..

But if he is anointed, he will sacrifice the second term

The major determinants of the ADC coalition Presidential flag bearer are David Mark & Rauf Aregbesola.

They will always prefer Atiku.

Peter Obi walked out of the PDP for same reason, when he was outsmarted by same Political Machinations. PO is known not to spend a dime on delegates as he believes in a credible process.

However, Delegates are career politicians who make their money only during primaries and convention.

PO should be allowed to take a consensus vote. Amaechi cannot win at Presidential level, Atiku cannot win beyond NE and some NW states but PO can attempt the SE & NC.

Atiku should volunteer as the National leader of the coalition and PO the Presidential Candidate.
