We are not the only ones with the 'bad leader ' curse, what about Venezuela and Russia? Russians are among the poorest in Europe and Venezuelan women cut and sell their hair out of poverty. Having trillions of cubit litres of gas reserves does to always translate to being rich, if you don't have good leaders or strong institutions to check mate bad ones, you will be a starving chef or a beggar at the gold mine.
