First most people who voted Obi had a unique belief in him, a belief they won't just transfer to atiku who they don't trust. They will not vote tinubu rather but will likely sit on the fence. Moreover a lot of them also believe it's south turn and won't support power going back to the north

Pa Bode George was right on this. How can a person who got over 6 million votes in the last general election, doing in the ADC? The man did so without the support of big politician. Two possibilities actually.
1. Peter Obi might have agreed to run as Atiku’s running mate in 2027. However, he needs to put up a showmanship for his base to think he actually competed for the presidential ticket and lost. Thereafter, three will be some kind of public pressure from ADC and rescuers of Nigeria for him to join the ticket and he will then announce that he has accepted to by vice presidential candidate simply because of the need to unite and rescue Nigeria.

2. Peter Obi and his team might actually have this deluded believe that Atiku will step aside and handover the party ticket to him. Sincerely, that’s the height of crass delusion because it’s never going to happen. Even if Peter Obi somehow finds a way to pick the ticket, he’s not going to win the election as Atiku and his gang can’t influence the needed votes for him in the north east and west.

you still don't get it, some of them may be emotional but some are pragmatic, having tasted the disastrous Tinubu years no one will want a repeat of it ,so the logical thing is to support the most visible way to remove him
For instance people, that lost business, employment, opportunities, love ones due unafordable medical expenses
People whose economic situation became worse because of the ill thought out policies of Tinubu, will choose life,will choose hope, will look for a way out,would not like to get stocked with what is not working because their lives matters to them too, no human being is a messiah and there is no one road to a market, therefore will make a choice different from what will return Tinubu, that's pragmatism, that self-love,
Because the return of Tinubu will be more disastrous, more terrible, because he is an arrogant and domineering man who doesn't listen to any one ,who believes he knows everything
The results will be very terrible, people are aware of this and will want to avoid it
