Probably just ragebaiting. In his Superman video, Nerdrotic said it isn't woke—just an awful movie. Honestly, anyone who watched it and still shouts "WOKE" either has the critical thinking skills of a wet sock or is flat-out brain-dead.

This poor Dutch girl posted her 16th birthday on Facebook, but she set it to public, and one of her classmates decided to invite all the people on his friends list, then it spiraled. She invited 78 people, but 17k people* decided to turn up. Apparently, there was a film called Project X and a lot of randos wanted to use her event to recreate it.

*she ended up cancelling the event, but some random person decided to redo it in "her honour". It obviously didn't go well.

You need to see the project x movie. It was entertaining. The party blew out of hand.

Latin America and New Zealand & Australia are hyped with Brazil and Mexico promising to over deliver. Europe is mixed with UK and Ireland really amped. Asia is mixed as well. Meh, in Korea and Japan. Average in China. Destroying records in India. Indonesia looks good.

Still, it'll deliver over $100mn+ internationally. Domestic looking like $140-150mn.

If SUPERMAN does a $250mn global debut, that's superb.

I see this movie around $750mn worldwide.
$700mn seems guaranteed at least, imo.

Fair enough, I get where you're coming from. But you know how it goes: once “woke” gets thrown around enough times, it starts feeling like white noise. I rate movies on whether they're actually good, not whether they fit into someone's Twitter checklist. I don’t always agree with Critical Drinker or whoever, but if the point makes sense, cool. If it’s just “movie bad = must be woke,” that’s where I tap out.

Just thinking out loudly here. I have never been a fan of tracking what movie makes or didn't make, i use to care at some point, but i soon realize, it's neither here nor there. Do you as a fan, get an extra kick and faux bragging rights when a movie makes bank? Cuz i believe that should be the studios headache. I simply do not care for James Gunn that much, to be keeping up with all these, i just want to watch the movie, and get on with my day.

I mean, most of the the comments on the movie, since it's widespread premiere yesterday, has been on how much, it is currently making and not the critical aspect of it...if there is some sort of perceived fun attached to this particular discourse, i have most likely weaned myself of it.
