The point is, how much 8s the naira worth today? Even having #1million naira profit today after a year of investment is rubbish looking at the low value of the naira. That's like USD 650 in one year which is extremely very poor by any standards. ₦1 million that can't take anyone for more than a month.
I invested USD 100 in a US Ai stock and in 4 months I got a profit of over USD 1,500 minus the initial USD 100 I had invested. That's what investment is all about. I wouldn't advise anyone to invest in any Nigerian stock considering how worthless the naira has become

Invested a lot in bank shares years back and I can't lay a hand on any tangible earnings apart from the few cheques of dividends sent to me. Stick trading in Nigeria is not for the lillylivered ones. When most of those banks and companies shares got rebased, the shares became worthless as they shrunk in numbers Many of my friends lost huge amounts , mine was limited because I was not totally sold on the idea of heavily investing in shares

The beauty of this increase is that this is in real terms.

Let's assume the exchange rate was $1-N1,600 at the beginning of the year.

So, 1m invested then was $6,25

Now, the stock is 2m. That N2m is $1,250 as the Naira's value is still the same.

These are fantastic returns considering the mess that Trumpo is doing to the US economy, and the huge mess Tinubu met.

I thought the way we used shares to get something quite decent in Europe is same in 9ja.

With 20 years experience of it, I thought I knew something about shares. What works in major European stock markets became total scam at NSE.

I played with this sometime this year with an app. Truth is one needs to know Stock Exchange very well before investing. I need that knowledge.

Stock exchange(SE) reflects the strength and weakness of your country's economy..
Most times, when you invest your money in business, it's almost the same profit/loss you will get in SE...
For example, if you have 5millon naira, and you want to invest. You would look for a good business that will bring profit for maybe 1yr..
If the business is not that profitable, at the end of one year you'll have either your 5m(in assets) or assets plus little profit or even lesser...
If it is profitable, you will see up to 1m in profit or more... Minus Ur initial 5m capital...
Same with SE..
If you invest your 5m in "Good stock" after a year you can see up to 1m in profits or more , minus your initial 5m..
If it's bad stock, lol, you might not get any profit or in some cases your 5m might drop...
It all depends on the economy performance no be magic or JuJu...

Have lost huge some of money in stocks in the past but that never stopped me from reconsidering venture back into it.
I bought Mtn and Gtbank shares,have made good profit and good dividends in the less than a year.stocks is just like every other businesses,there is always good and bad times in business but,that doesn’t mean we have to stop doing it.
People need to make their findings and go for good stocks,there are good and bad stocks.you can as well do weekly trading of stock,you don’t have to wait for months if you’re a smart trader.

The figures are realistic..Google is your friend..Dont assume..I invest in viable companies alone.If you are scared, engage the service of a professional stockbroker or go to any registered stock brokers office not the ones you see on the street...
