Be careful with that Felicity battery, u might b given a relabelled battery, buy battery from sellers here, plus Felicity battery no get smart BMS. Felicity inverter I bought last month is the transformer based 5kva ivps non hybrid variant for 600k. D hybrid variant will be more expensive but not close to 1m. Like 700-800k depending on the variant u pick. If you are going for the high frequency hybrid variant, Using 10mm cable is a waste of money too. Use 6mm or 4mm depending on the distance. Collione: |

Collione:Ask for the brand of the panels, hope its not some alaba sticker types? Felicity 5kwh is more in keeping with the quote than the 7.5kwh Why 10mm dc cable seeing as u wud most likely have the panels connected in series? A 4mm or max 6mm cable sud suffice |

Jefferyzz:Abi ooo. Already commented b4 seeing your post. The IVEM is around 500k last I asked |

Will this Sako inverter ever shut up? I’ve never used an inverter whose fan spins round the clock, so this is all new to me. Is there a way to reduce the fan noise or make it only spin at intervals? |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Ayomipoe(m): 3:41pm On Jul 12, 2025 |
Interesting. My SMS 12V 1kVA fans are nearly always on except when in bypass mode. I assumed that was normal behaviour. Elizkid: |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Elizkid: 3:44pm On Jul 12, 2025 |
Ayomipoe:So it’s a normal thing? My previous inverter’s fan only ever turned on every other 30-60 minutes for a brief 30-60 sec each. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by dollarnaira(m): 4:00pm On Jul 12, 2025 |
Elizkid:At what load does your fan come on? Most fans run at a very high voltage needlessly. I have a 500w inverter board that run on a 24v at a speed am not comfortable with. I disconnected the fan powering just a 115w freezer. No more noise. |

Jefferyzz:Thanks for your feedback this is really helpful to me . For the inverter I decided to up my budget and stick with a firman transformer based 5kva. For the battery asides from your gurus in the house who make them can you recommend any other brands . This way I can weigh my options. While researching , cworth, blue carbon and taico keeps coming up as reliable and affordable. What's your take please |

FEGEITOK:Fixed. I used either overdo or underdo, with finer adjustments, I finally got it right |

Elizkid:🤣🤣 same as my bread inverter too. I don’t why they have to make inverters with 24/7 spinning fans. |

Collione:Getting a transformer based inverter only adds to ur purchase cost and gives very little advantage over the transformerless one. Ur call though |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Elizkid: 4:58pm On Jul 12, 2025 |
dollarnaira:The fans are always on regardless of load. Only three bulbs are on as we speak. I placed my palm under the fan, and the wind feels stronger than the one coming from these portable, rechargeable hand fans. So unnecessary for very little load. Just that the inverter is always cold, which is good. It has no warmth whatsoever. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Collione: 5:08pm On Jul 12, 2025 |
Drgreatone:You may be right. To be honest I don't know so much. I have a 1kva transformer inverter that I'm currently using. It was connected so poorly but yet it's so rugged 5 years running. Maybe it's sentiment or fear. I'm just worried that if I use my pumping machine or air fryer the high frequency inverter won't handle it. I was considering Felicity hybrid high frequency but I'm not seeing good reviews as for growatt it looks sophisticated and I'm worried a lot of installers can't program it. Before I started this journey I planned to get felicity products only but now it seems to be the least reliable. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by FEGEITOK: 5:12pm On Jul 12, 2025 |
FEGEITOK:Never ever got more than 1.3kW from a possible total of 2.1kW. Today I understood why. 1 of the 3 panels was not connected. I have gotten 6mm wire to sort it out. I totally recommend FY panels. Will get more ASAP given that the test results are so good |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by dollarnaira(m): 5:16pm On Jul 12, 2025 |
Elizkid:If not for fear, u can place a mini converter in between to reduce the speed. Inverter can get warm to touch without issue but not very hot without fan. Or you can replace the fan with a used brushless one, you will be amazed at the silence despite the speed. But fear won't allow you. |

Compliant:If it is Felicity charge controller, it is factory error provided you no go above the required rating. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Elizkid: 5:22pm On Jul 12, 2025 |
dollarnaira:I can do that Is it this? How can one tell the difference between the two? Looks like the on already inside I don’t know what the term “brushless” means in regards to these fans

FEGEITOK: how did this even happen? Very funny to read. |
| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by FEGEITOK: 6:29pm On Jul 12, 2025 |
Mykcool:My friend assisted with the connections, I did not thorughly inspect the final job, by that I mean the connections at each panel, I just saw that wires were apparently connected to all three panels, but one wire from Panel A to Panel C was not connected (the missing connection that I found out today) |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by dollarnaira(m): 6:55pm On Jul 12, 2025 |
Elizkid:This is almost same fan in the new model of "old" version fan of PowMr cc (aluminum body). That fan is brushless; no noise. |

| Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Drgreatone: 8:02pm On Jul 12, 2025 |
Collione:Felicity has a large share of the market and as such u wud expect slightly more complaints compared to other brands esp with poorly done installations. I'm using the 5kva ivem series and its serving well and I can speak same for others I used it for. Only ish is its slightly expensive than its peers but then 5yrs of warranty aint beans (warranty doesnt cover lightening damage though which I found out painfully) |
