Abeg, a friend told me about an encounter, he said someone reported him to Bolt or so for having too much air freshener in the car, but this same rider never complained about it during the trip. As a rider, what do you think? |

This write up is absolutely baseless and more or less coming from someone who have just managed to book Uber 2 times in his entire life , Ac not working at all is different from Ac not performing on the level of riders satisfaction oga is Uber you border not a Benz, most riders will allow the drivers to keep their engine running for hours under the guise that their coming when the trip has not been started officially, some riders will book you and move away from their location and started calling you on phone, some will be chatting drivers on their way to pick them and will be expecting immediate response as if them don't know that the driver is driving and can cause accidents in attempt to reply massage |

I enjoyed reading the original post it made me laugh so much and reminded me of one comedian bolt driver I met about 2 years ago. He wanted us to go off the app which I didn't have a problem with so long as I got to pay the app rate but the guy wanted me to add something and kept pleading with me to oblige him on our way to the airport. To make his case for more money he said aunty you know say na airport we dey go on a Sunday morning. I no go quick see passenger to carry come back to island and I no dey like to work for mainland, mainland people too dey think. I asked him what do you mean by mainland people too dey think? He said dem too dey think because of problem and because of that dem no dey like pay money, dem go think how to price you down and not pay the app rate after a trip. He now said for example if a trip costs 5k at the end, dem go dey price trip, asking if they can pay you 3k instead . I had a good laugh and agreed to pay him the amount he wanted for making me laugh and if he got me to the airport on time, to not miss my flight.I'm smiling just recalling that conversation and the bolt driver. Lagos is an interesting city with interesting characters. |

Kalulu44:E be like say you never jam Abuja bolt & uber drivers. Dem no dey on AC ooo and they are not apologetic about it . This was one of the things I missed about Lagos bolt & uber drivers when I was in Abuja for a period of time for work. The Lagos operators are more buisness minded and understand the importance of standing out because of competition. The Abuja operators don't have the same mindset they always picked me up without the AC on and used fuel as the reason for not turning on the AC. I'm not one to make a fuss about AC so long as your car is not dirty or smelly and you get me to my destination in one piece. For the eight months I was in Abuja only one bolt driver ever came to pick me up with the AC on and left it on until we reached my destination. I was so impressed with him I paid him extra at end of the trip and told him he was the first bolt driver to ever pick me up with his AC on. He laughed and said for as long as your car is on the road it must chop fuel. I might as well turn on my AC to enjoy the car and my ride as the fuel goes. I liked the guy's mindset and attitude sha. |

Offpoint1:Honestly, a rider with your mindset will hardly have issues with any driver, because even if the driver is angry before getting to you, he will just be calm with your attitude. I've gone out of my way to do things for riders just because of their attitude. Before starting Uber myself, I do tip anyone I'm engaging well if my ride is having any unusual circumstances. If my road is bad, I will tell the driver to stop at the end of the tarred road, take a bike to go meet him, if I'm late, tell him to start the trip to be reading, etc Kudos sir |

Offpoint1:you've said it all bro, your last point is d most important, people don't respect hustlers, that he is driving you doesn't make the driver inferior to you or you superior to him.... |

Klass99:it's because Abuja bolt is different from Lagos bolt, if u see anyone doin bolt in Abuja dat person isn't making much profit, unlike lagos bolt drivers, in lagos, you can do two trips in a day and go home.... 5k trip in Abuja is 16k trip in lagos same distance...even without traffic... Then another issue is that the highest trip you can get in Abuja is airport trip which was 10k before, I don't know the price now.....so abeg pity Abuja bolt drivers most of them are struggling.... D ones making profit are d ones driving in the Night which is very risky |
