Yes he was excellent defensively. I watched the game simply because of him (Santos) and only Neves started from their gala 11. PSG had Arsenal next and experimented alot including tactics. They played 3 at the back that day with Neves as RWB and of course they dominated the game but lost 2:1. Santos was very key to the victory.

In terms of isolation, I think Jackson is more likely to get isolated not because he’s worse but becos of his tendency to drift wide and disconnect from the build-up. Delap stays more central and looks for those quick link-ups. You’re right though bro , both are still pretty average at this level, just with different playing styles.

Delap is too poor on the ball.. Loses possession too too easily and his pressing game is still below par. JP has to start up top with Palmer and Neto on the flanks. Andrey Santos, Caicedo, Enzo in midfield.. That's the strongest 11 at the moment
