So you think Igbos can give over 90% of vote to their son because they think he is capable, but Yoruba dare not give their son just a little over 50% because they too think he is capable, or for some other reason at all which they're entitled to by the laws of Nigeria?

Also, you think Igbos are justified to react to Buhari calling them 5% and the operation Python Dance, but Lagosians dare not react after several years of continuous and sustained insults and attack on everything they hold dear? Be honest, have you ever seen an Ebira, Okun, Nupe, Gbagi, Urhobo or any other Nigerian from the other over 200 tribe called Lagos a "no man's land" other than the Igbos? Was it the Hausa people that held a meeting pre 2023 election, facing the camera and declaring boldly that taking over Lagos was non-negotiable? Is it the Ijaws that said that when they take over Lagos, that they will disband the traditional leadership and will chase Lagos traditional rulers under the bridge? Should I forward an X post that one of your sisters made a couple of weeks ago where she drew comparison between areas populated by Igbos and Yorubas in Lagos, and advised Lagos visitors to avoid Yoruba populated areas?
I know your first reaction to this post would be to deny everything. Then, when I drop tweets and links, you will claim they're not Igbos; that they're Agbado/Ronu impersonators. That, or you deflect to something totally unrelated like how Tinubu has caused hunger and poverty.
If you live among these things, you will know how much the entitlement attitude is deeply entrenched into their mindset. They will cry victim from dawn to dusk, but they are always the provocateur. That flag will never fly anywhere in Yoruba land.

Yorubas are fighting to keep hold of and control political power in their region, I can’t blame them.

The argument of contributing so much to Lagos and now wanting to hold elective positions doesn’t make sense. Lagos built you but you claim you’re the one building it.

Do we have Igbos handing out free meals and stipends on the streets of Lagos?

How many schools and hospitals have Easterners built and handed over to the Lagos government?

You’re running your private businesses and trade and claim you’re building Lagos.

Like someone submitted, reciprocity is key. If you want a chairmanship position in the SW, be ready to relinquish same in the SE. Or are we not all in Nigeria and contributing to Nigeria’s growth? Lagos is better than ‘home’, otherwise you won’t be in Lagos.

You can relocate back to your enclaves and make a Lagos out of it. Don’t you love your homes again?
Anybody that has ever stayed outside Nigeria ,most expecially these West African countries, will understand the importance of LAGOS.
That state is blessed. It is now i understand what the OBA of Lagos meant. So they should try to respect their host. That lagos water na real blessing.

This and many more of this talks makes them becomes a target when they are suppose to lives peacefully and happily with their host instead they are trying to drag power and compete

Go and contest in the UK then nobody is stopping you.
Kemi didn’t declare England a No man’s Land and she has sworn
allegiance to the king of England she is not insulting him and his people
like some are doing in Lagos daily even as we speak

If you comb this thread thoroughly you will definitely see their insults .

It is not by force to live with the SW people who you hate passionately

Leave UK, can you people accept that in your state? I served in Enugu and I know how I was warned to stay away when I meddled in their politics there. Are you people UK?

I am aware of a lot of Yoruba who are living and have lived in the South-East but it's same complaint that you are not receptive to outsiders. I believe this is valuable feedback that you can work on.

The Yoruba are many in the South-East but are not being reciprocated with political offices and opportunities because you want to keep everything within your own kith and kin. They perfectly understand you wink

The Yoruba in SE will mind their own business and not disrespect you , your culture and leaders.

Make your region friendly, safe and attractive.

There may be many Yoruba who wish to visit the South-East for leisure, tourism, business but most of them will quickly drop the idea because they don't feel safe to go there, most of their experiences are not particularly pleasant and they believe that the indigenes of South-East will not give an outsider opportunity.

Just look at the outcome of the last election nah. It's embarrassing yet you want others to open their own democratic space for you. Haba.
...ur statement shows u have not travelled outside the southwest since u were born

In your mind, you think you know who owns the land. It's just a matter of time.

Lagos will be totally removed from other SW states.

There are plans on the table. Besides 95% of residents of Lagos are immigrants from the rest of the country. Majority of them from Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti, SE and SS states. The Northerners are increasing rapidly too.

She's contested in Imo, not Ondo.

Did your people allow her become Senator in Imo?

Precisely. Look at the thread title that shows entitlement mentality of these people through Ohanaeze's incendiary announcement:

Re: Ohaneze: Igbos Deserve To Hold Political Offices In Lagos
Now remove Ohanaeze from above and replace with Arewa or the ethno-cultural organisation most ethnic groups have.

Then replace Igbo with the names of those ethnic groups their ethno-cultural organisation are insisting "deserves" office in Lagos.

Imagine the madness? This is why Senator Gbenga Daniel expressed fear that 50% of Nigerians will be living in the SW by 2050.

Clearly he has seen the danger to the SW of all Nigerians, rather than challenging misrule, fleeing their regions for Yorubaland that, along with the SS, is one region of Nigeria working fairly well.

Clearly, if this pattern continues then all non-Yoruba ethnicities, with no intention of ever returning to their region of origin, will soon begin demanding political office from Yorubas in all SW States.

Abi OO. Why does Bianca Ojujwu low key resent Igbo men if not for their discriminatory and backwards antics? They told her she could not contest for political office in Anambra because she is not from the State.

Imagine that. Like most have now observed, Igbos are a people who have made an art of gaslighting others by making demands they are the the least interested in granting others in their land.

Today SE is the most Mono-ethnic region of Nigeria because, obviously and naturally, people avoid unwelcoming places where they do not feel conditions exist to allow them thrive.

Rather than try to remedy this undesirable character they are known for, their obsession remains keeping Igboland for Igbos alone, top to bottom, while seeking greater penetration and power in the land of others.
