The member representing oju/obi federal constituency of Benue state Hon David Ogewu has said that the senator representing Benue south got 3 billion naira in the budget for the deplorable Otukpo-Oju road

I feel our people pains but our Senator asked me to leave this road for him to do and he got 3 billion naira in the budget for this Oju-Oturkpo road I believe soon works will commence by God grace

Money he has long squandered. I may not like Wike but he says the truth. David Mark spent over 16 years in the senate. 8 of them as senate president yet there is no road to Otukpo his home town. This Abba Moro, former minister of the interior under Jonathan, was behind the fraudulent immigration stampede that saw hundreds of people die. He awarded the contract of that recruitment to a company owned by David Mark's wife. A company that has no pedigree whatsoever in recruiting for large organisations. People died because of the heartless wickedness of these greedy people.

What business does Abba Moro have with fixing roads? He doesn't have a road construction company so on what grounds was he awarded that contract? Shameless and wicked people.

Baba please leave that judgment day talk jor, we are on Earth right now, let him fix that road or be punished. Do you know how many peoples lives would be negatively affected by his refusal to fix that road.

That road has been in the deplorable state for ages. My Igede people are only after petty things, they are never united toward anything and they can easily be swayed by just 'a pot of porridge ' very anyhow people

If there is no cash backing for padded budgets, why is budget still padded every year?

The problem is accountability. FG just hands out the money .... never follows up on if the money is spent on the proposed project. Every year...the senator can ask for money for the same project ...and it would be released to him. They all do it to enrich themselves so who would bell the cat ... stand up and demand accountability? That would be political suicide ... or asking for an attack by bandits . The people need to demand the road be done... pressure the community leaders ... pressure the senator ...call him out on social media ... post photos of the state of the roads....ask when would the work begin...where is the N3 that was allocated?...is it in his personal bank account? ... take the matter to the local TV stations...the radio stations... call on the EFCC to investigate.......drag his name ....if not ...business as usual.

There's no level of government that should make paucity of funds as an excuse any longer, right now, they are receiving far more to execute projects at the grassroots.
