Christistruth03:Why do you contradict yourself. Did this show that people were prevented from holding office positions. Again when you want to spread disinformation can you tell us which Market Association is that? Why do you love to deceive people? |

Irony1:Judging by your logic here, any Igbo contesting in Yorubaland should be married to a Yoruba. |

Christistruth03:Haaaa!!!!! Oga take it easy with the disinformation oooo there is nothing like General electric dealers Association of Nigeria. |

ZoomTravels:Eehhhh stop twisting what I said. Bianca clearly is contesting using the husband's name and pedigree and the argument here is this you are not longer married to the man because he is dead. Even at that League of Anambra Professionals gave her the nod to contest because they felt that reason is not tenable. I can bet you that of Bettty Akeredolu had contested for senate on Ondo, you people will raise this issue. So there's nothing odd in it and the opposition to Bianca's nomination was from Ojukwu's family not from the state, which was due to internal issues in the family. |

Christistruth03:Show me in the last 24months on NL where igbos called Lagos No man's land. You guys are the ones calling Lagos No man's land. |

soullove1881:How are they gaslighting? Are the arguments not valid? Has any Yoruba man who was born and brought up in south east decided to contest for councillor and he was not voted? Please bring out a documented case. |

WizardOfNG:But do you know that Sanwo Olu when he was campaigning for governor of Lagos said igboa deserve to hold political posts in Lagos. You didn't attack him then ooooo and it was not gaslighting oooo |
| Re: Ohaneze: Igbos Deserve To Hold Political Offices In Lagos by Irony1: 1:23pm On Jul 13, 2025 |
Codes151:Have you checked yourself lately? You guys own the largest voting population and yet you are scared of a minority to the point of screaming about what they said about political office. If an igbo man wins an office in Lagos who voted for him? Is it not Yorubas. Oga check yourself first before calling others mentally unstable. |

Irony1:He is 100% allowed to contest for any position he likes and it is his constituency job to vote or not vote him. So why is a Igbo socio-political group demanding for igbos to be given a spot? Put in the work and integrate into the society and the people will decide on that. You do not get to go to another man’s land and demanding you are offered a table at the corridors of power. This is logic but sadly not too many from the east apply it on a regular |

WizardOfNG:Let me correct that notion. Bianca never resented igbo men. Also the opposition to Bianca's nomination was from Ojukwu's family not from APGA, league of Anambra Professionals criticised the family and no one stopped her. She lost in the primaries eventually. Opposition to Bianca's nomination was from Ojukwu's family due to their internal issues. She eventually contested and lost in the primaries, please stop twisting facts abeg. |

Tychost:Have you asked yourself why they are demanding it? Also it is just a statement, you guys still have the voting power so nothing changes. So it begs the question why all the fear mongering by some Yorubas? |
| Re: Ohaneze: Igbos Deserve To Hold Political Offices In Lagos by Nefort: 1:29pm On Jul 13, 2025 |
FreeStuffsNG:This is NOT TRUE. You are just over exaggerating and lying just to appear like you are making any point. The number of Igbos in Lagos is very much greater than the number of Yorubas in any south east state. If you significantly increase the number of Yorubas in Anambra State you will start hearing Yorubas in Anambra State saying what Ohaneze is saying. It's all about the influence of larger numbers. It's unfortunate that Yorubas don't have a significant number in any south east state because it would have been a totally different story today. |

| Re: Ohaneze: Igbos Deserve To Hold Political Offices In Lagos by WizardOfNG: 1:33pm On Jul 13, 2025 |
Irony1:Sanwo Olu can say anything for votes. He is a politician and that is what they all do very well and by default I.e say anything to gain electoral support. Yorubas today generally do not want Igbos gaining political positions in Lagos because they have shown their malevolent covetous, usurping and expansionist hands fully. The little they have achieved they never fail to present as if such is done as part of a deliberste attempt at a hostile takeover of Lagos with an agenda of subjugating and "dominating" others "in their own lands". The quoted above is their words majority of them use, even on NL, that their forefathers many decades ago, including Azikiwe and Charles Onyeama, were fond of throwing around casually and arrogantly. They alone, of over 200 ethnic groups in Lagos, behave like this. Yorubas don fully 'ronu' and have finally seen Igbos for what they are. |
| Re: Ohaneze: Igbos Deserve To Hold Political Offices In Lagos by Tychost: 1:33pm On Jul 13, 2025 |
Irony1:Interestingly I am asking myself why are they demanding it? Why are Yorubas not demanding it? Why are you the only ones being singled out from here to Ghana to South Africa ? It’s just never enough is it? Could it be that the locals have a particular reason to reject the imposition of your culture on theirs? Why is your home not good enough for you to grow and prosper. Why demand to be respected in a place you and your people constantly look down on. |
| Re: Ohaneze: Igbos Deserve To Hold Political Offices In Lagos by Irony1: 1:33pm On Jul 13, 2025 |
christistruth01:Oga all these fantastic headlines without the body of the article is not only deceptive but too sneaky of you. The reason for the opposition was due to the 2002 local government transition edict which stated that the chairman must be a local of that area. Again you omitted the fact that Alex Otti ignored this an still appointed his choice as Mayor of Aba citing merit as his reason for appointing the person. The name of the person Otti appointed is John Udeagbala from Anambra state. Try and stop spreading misinformation and twisting facts. |
| Re: Ohaneze: Igbos Deserve To Hold Political Offices In Lagos by Irony1: 1:35pm On Jul 13, 2025 |
Tychost:But you guys demanded appointments during Jonathan regime didn't you. So what is different. Again the same discrimination is also happening between SA and Ugandans, Somali and Zimbabweans, so please do not make it an issue about the igbo man. In Ghana there was no issue about it, even before now Ghanaians have issues with Nigerian businesses and even Nigerian banks, so please that statement of yours shows that you have little understanding of the Africa dynamics. |
| Re: Ohaneze: Igbos Deserve To Hold Political Offices In Lagos by Irony1: 1:37pm On Jul 13, 2025 |
WizardOfNG:Wait hold on where is evidence of the covertous, manipulating and usurping. Please can you bring documented evidence and do not use Zik because that one was 60s politics and even Awolowo wanted to co-opt Yoruba people into midwest and he yoo was revisited that was why midwest was created. |

| Re: Ohaneze: Igbos Deserve To Hold Political Offices In Lagos by Tychost: 1:39pm On Jul 13, 2025 |
Irony1:Little understanding? Boy I have been traveling this continent before you descended from your Pops sack. We demanded from a federal government, just like your folks also did under buhari and tinubu. Not go into Igbo state to contest for local elections. So stop with the false equivalency and deflective tactics |
