1. 21 and 22 jump Street- very safe comedy because everyone actually finds them funny
2. Crazy Rich Asians - for girls but guys would love this movie too

Easy tiger. Minecraft haul is around $955mn not that number. You're prolly mixing it up with Lilo and Stitch numbers.

It's still early days.... The release schedule for these movies are also different.

It's not doing similar numbers to these movies. International is a bit lukewarm in some markets (Asia and Europe). It also has literally 3 huge competition to fend off, F4, F1, Rebirth.

So.....fingers crossed. Around $700mn remains the goal.

Notice how it was crickets from them when sinners performed well because it won't fit with their bigoted narrative? Both sinners and nope are the only original movies since the pandemic to have a successful opening weekend, both by POC leads and directors and even have "wokeness" as the backdrop yet they pretended these movies never existed

Super Fairs man as you totally had me at, "it's also part of my job" plus this particular universe has been rebooted so many times with a little crack at success. The lore is filled with so many interesting characters that has done well in the comics and animation, but hasn't really translated great to a continuous successful live action universe.

So this probably making bank, would spur the studios to greenlit other projects in the universe and i can now see how, that would be good news for fans of the comics 🤙🏿

He's the star of the show for me.
It's a decent movie but there are way too many jokes.

Superman doesn't have international appeal unfortunately.

$800m is impossible but if the legs are good, it might do $700m.

This is actually a comic accurate Supergirl from Woman of Tomorrow by Tom King.

This Hollywood summer period is great for Nigerian cinemas.

I went to see Superman today and everywhere was packed.

The movie was a delightful experience. My theater was lively. People were laughing and cheering.

James Gunn made a highly entertaining family movie. A complete crowd pleaser.

This is a movie that everyone will enjoy even non-cbm fans.

I'll post a full review later.

Haven't gotten around to seeing the Superman movie yet but the Mr. Terrific praise I'm seeing on the timeline warms my heart.
Hope he becomes one of the most popular characters in the DCU franchise cos it's about time ma boy, Edi Gathegi got his flowers.
