Full-time. The Algerians are happy with this draw.
What is the implication of this draw? Is this their 3rd match in the opening series or are they going into extra time. I haven't been watching these women's football and honestly I am impressed

it has no implications. Both teams qualified already. I was just saying they defended well in this game despite Nigeria advancing at them and Nigeria not scoring through her many cornerkicks she had. So it is more like a win for Algeria.

Botswana 🇧🇼 came from behind to snatch a dramatic last minute 2-1 win ...they Probably learnt that one from their last game against Naija girls..
Tonight Algeria completely exposed our inability to convert chances...we labored like donkeys and wasted 13 corner kicks by my last count before I abandoned them grin
Meanwhile in the Women Euros...goals dey flow like water between England and Wales (6-1) and Netherlands vs France (2-5)....
See ehhn make these girls just get knocked out in next round make dem quick go home go dey watch better International female soccer ...not these "Abalanya" football wey dem dey play here ...with that their coach wey im face be like soured okro soup so grin

If these Falcons are not careful, they will be bundled out of the tournament by the Zambian ladies.

Meanwhile Botswana shocked Tunisia 2-1
With a late minutes strike at 95 minutes

Kudos to them

Una wen dey watch this Super Falcons games: una dey try oh! Eyes nor dey pain una? Sitting down for 90 minutes to watch purposeless, kick-and-follow, directionless football is the height of joblessness!

Nigeria vs Algeria

It ends goalless in Casablanca.

⚽️ 23 shots
🎯 2 shots on target

Bad shooting practice? 👀

The super Falcons are far from been convincing

No disrespect to the ladies, but this match disappointed me, considering it's my first match of this year's WAFCON. It was like going to a primary school and watching kids run around and just trying to kick the ball in any direction. It was hard to believe that these were professionals playing week in/week out during their respective seasons.🙄

Women's football has improved a lot more than this, especially in recent years.

Kudos to Falcons legends the likes of Omagbemi, Perpetual, Akide and even our current Asisat👏🏿

I am even surprised at what they are playing. It would have been better if they use all the under 17 ladies that play world cup than all these ones. No game composure, no passing, no playmaker, no tactics. I really missed Perpetual and Mercy Akide.

Baba, na even the very 1st match of this year's edition wey I watch be this self, and like this ehn, I doubt say I go waste another 90+mins to watch another one. I for prefer to watch primary 1-3 kids for field or playground sef. At least laughter and cheers go dey that one😂

Am. Seriously concerned about the level of indiscipline in the super Falcons camp

Are there no camp rules?
Are there no does and don't

Because the rate at which they are on social media is alarming
Before and almost every game dancing and making videos

No wonder there performance on the field is so disjointed.
Imagine 23 shot on goal
And only 2 on target against Algeria

A match they should win convincingly
Even against Botswana they were barely able scramble in the last minute goal. And yet we're on social media dancing they have qualified....

oga it's not about the point. I love female football so much. I love super falcons. But the issue now is they are not playing well. If u know good football, u will agree with me. Africa gaining momentum in women's football? Well in a way that's true. But then if other teams are improving are the super falcons supposed to remain static n wait for others to meet them? Are they not supposed to improve too??
The truth is you can decide to react as you see fit.

Fact is you have no idea the circumsatnces they find themselves in.

If you truly know what goes in the camps pre tournament, you might begin to cut them some slack.

These girls are givign their all and I am quite excited about some talents on display. Esther Okonkwo, Ihezuo, Folasade Ijamilusi. These are girls that would carry the forte from the seniors onward. Agba baller is already an agba and not many women can be like Onome Ebi.

These are things you need to consider before casting aspertions. These are women who still have to be women off the pitch. Women who will still be women and go through everything a woman goes thorugh sometimes even while playing on the pitch.

So cut them some slack and point your accusations to the NFF. That is who you should attack.

But as for this girls, win or lose, it is obvious that Nigeria still has what it takes to keep up the dominance of Africa.

And when other teams manage to pull feats gainst Nigeria, it is signofocant enough for them to blow their horns about. That tells you the status the Falcons have in Africa

And gues what, they stayed more consistent about it more than the Eagles.

Let's look forward to Zambia and hope they survive Babra Banda.

There will always be 16 teams vying for the title at every Wafcon. You cannot logically expect that Nigeria will always win it all the time.
