What's the point of this video? To justify the mediocrity and rot in Africa?

When you tell Nigerians about places like this in the west, they think you lie.

I remember a place during the Biden administration that got electricity for the first time and they are not Amish ohh

I am not saying we should compete with the bad sides but we havw rural places all over the world

As a matter of fact auto makers who make cars called off-roads are not stupid.
They know they have roads like this.
They didn't make those cars for Africa
What % of American roads are like this in your own estimation?

Do we have a similar % of roads like this in Nigeria or Ghana huh

➜A Ghanaian working in the United States as an Amazon delivery driver has shared a video showing the condition of a rural road in the US — sparking widespread discussion on X.
The post attracted mixed reactions. Some users explained that this is typical of rural areas, noting that such roads are often quiet, with few residents, as they mostly lead to farmlands. Others pointed out that roads like this can even be found in urban areas of some African countries, especially in Ghana, the driver's home country.
So, because Amazon decided to ply the road, the government should spend millions to tar up a road that barely sees a vehicle a day? Abeg, get away! Tell Amazon to fix the road if the business it gets from there is worth it, then. I bet the customers it seeks to reach in those areas would not mind. undecided

Nonsense just looking to trend with an unnecessary topic, America is bigger than West Africa and every single road leading somewhere and used is tarred, every one forget story. This is probably a private driveway leading to a farm or house, na American government go come pave your driveway for you?

The place he is describing is the far hinterland in the US and most times they have drivable roads connecting them to the nearest towns.
I can bet such roads are like 2% if not less than in the whole of America!
Make the guy go rest because it will take Ghana like 5000 years to near America for infrastructural development!
Most of those roads are left that way for good reason. undecided

Of course, many places like this are littered in the west. They only show the bad spots of Africa to the world.

Why are some roads in America not paved?
Some roads in America are not paved primarily due to cost and traffic volume. Paving is expensive, and in areas with low traffic or limited budgets, the cost of paving and maintaining paved roads can outweigh the benefits. Additionally, unpaved roads are common in rural areas where they may be used primarily for access to resources like logging or mining areas, and may not require the same level of maintenance as roads with higher traffic.
Paving costs money and these unpaved roads are known —tracked. undecided

America is so big that some places will have you think you are in Angwan Rogo. Eg. I-40 from Alberqueque, NM to Phoenix, AZ; driving through Indian reservation looks like driving through Fulani herdsmen's settlement. Many migrants usually settle in major cities and suburbs without knowing that there are villages/rural areas in US.

How many houses do we see? ... any buildings? ... any other vehicle on the road? ... any pedestrian? ....the guy is in a rural area .... most likely a back road leading to a 'village'. I'm sure he found the worse part of the road to snap this pic ... but let's look at the rim of the vehicle ... it's clean...the road is sooo bad that not even the entire tyre is covered in mud ... which means he hasn't gone into a pot hole...nor gully....the road is solid ...just not capped. In dry season it will be a dusty road. Haven't we seen them in movies? Scandalous guy ... not hard for ICE to locate him. What else is he telling us about himself? If he is delivering in that area he isn't living far from there.... he's living village life in America. What does this show?....great road network in America... doesn't matter where you are ...you can drive to anywhere...like someone said earlier ... the reason for having off road vehicles .

I don't know some people always post unnecessary things online
Leave am , when hand touch am now. Him people go shout racism. He is comparing a land in a rural municipality to a what is found in major cities in Africa. I bet that there's no highway in the US that's in that state. But in Africa, some major highways are death traps.

The three countries have been existing in different forms since creation of mankind.

If you are talking about independence as your excuse for our own failure, then what do you say about Qatar and Singapore, as well as UAE that is showing us pepper for visas? How old are these former British colonies huh

Very well said. Country roads like this one in the screenshots and video exist in the United States. Some parts of paved roads are even falling apart in some cities or states but they try to patch some of them up. Funding from taxed citizens is key for urban regeneration. Even the poorest of White people live in the Appalachian region of the United States, so, the perception that everyone among the White folks is rich isn't correct as well.

Does this green vegetation scenery in the video look like anywhere in the United States that I know of?

The dude could well be speaking right in Ghana with an imported pre-owned Ford delivery van. cheesy grin

Yes some farm roads are like this, the community does not want urbanization, some even ride around in horses. Any attempt to raise taxes to fix roads and bring other goodies is immediately rejected......For places like this, it is not unusual to have a population of less than 500 people grin grin

I don't believe there's clay soil in America. Hence my claim as the video is false. The bush or weed around are not even synonymous to America environment.
