He was a rallying point to both the low and the high in the country.
In the country? Most of these kings not known outside their domain. Regular people have real world issues to deal with. RIP, Ogbagba II.

He was relative a great and impactful king, no doubt, but this Nigeria wey we dey na big place o. We, people who read a lot, are sometimes out of touch with the reality of everyday Nigerians. Some state governors are not even known by some university level students outside their states.

Buh why do I see a lot of Political deaths this year?
Because everyone has his appointed time decreed by our creator. A single second won't be added if the time comes.

What will you be remembered for when you are gone? Live right my people. This world ain't our home.

This one na still bobo. The traditional burial rites, especially for a first class king, most importantly an Awujale cannot be toyed with.
What they have in that casket would most likely be a dummy.
Those traditional people noor dey joke ooo
That Awujale King na radical o.
He fought that status quo for 65 years.
He no dey see Agemo (Ijebu deity eye to eye). He relocated their shrine from the palace. The whole Ijebu knows Awujale travels out a week to Agemo festival.
He gave many Obas the waiver of rituals of eating hearts of their predecessors.
Awujale was a London- trained radical that opposed traditional status quo.
He believed and enabled the uphold of individual fate and beliefs of any kind that ascends.

Seems you are from that side or close to. I've seen the stuff that these people pull but rules can be broken anyways. It would not have been easy to subdue some time of those stuff sha.

You see the way Yoruba practice religion. Gbenga Daniel, Pastor Prof Osinbajo, Usher SanwoOlu inside mosque and relaxed, honouring the passed traditional ruler.

Yorubas are the most peaceful tribe in the world.

Does it mean vice president Osinbajo choose Awujale burial instead of bubu burial?

I can't find him in any bubu burial ceremony pictures.

Someone help me check please.
