Gambling I believe is the worst addiction. The reason being that it has no limit or threshold.
Alcohol or drug addiction have their limits.

There's a limit to how much the body can take. Same with porn or smoking. You can't smoke non-stop.

But gambling is a beast. You can gamble all day and all night. You can gamble if you have money or even if you don't (it doesn't stop gambling). You can gamble away your home, your pair of slippers, your family, your life, anything really. It's crazy.

Gambling is far more than just sport betting

Quit carbonated drink for good. Health wise, also it's good. I think carbonated drink should be ban before it does more harm than good on the long run. My colleague self is addicted to coke and Pepsi like madt. There is no day he does not drink Pepsi during lunch break. Could drink it 23 days a month and he really look fitted.

Those addictions are more deadly that all this closed addiction like drugs, pornography etc. they are addictions people won't even know anything is going on. I really suffered coke addiction.

Crack can kill, get you into chronic medical conditions and mental instability.

Gambling it’s a slow poison. It ruins victims without any option for suicide or death. They keep hoping and never demoralized in their trade.

Check the statistics. Gamblers hardly die, they die while still breathing.

It's nice to be back on here really, a lot of changes have happened on this great platform.

I dropped a thread a few years ago about how I was able to stop smoking a few years ago, check my profile.

Now, I've been thinking lately about how I was able to stop that addiction and how I never looked back. Recently I stopped gambling too it's been 9 long months without giving my hard earned money to bookmakers. I'm wondering if other people find it this easy to quit a bad habit.

I hate to admit that I find myself addicted to a lot of immoralities and I've taken it upon myself over the years to TRY to QUIT these things. Recently I stopped watching porn I started at the beginning of this month so far so good, though I get the strongest urges to go back into watching porn, eventually the urge might win but for now I'm winning.

So Great minds, have you ever been addicted to certain things and have you been able to quit? If yes Drop some tips for those still struggling?
