Insecurities

What makes it the tip of it all burial . You want him to gatecrash into an event that he wasn't invited to because of politics so that soldiers and DSS can "bounce" him

I am worried about the above statement. So its solely northerners that hold power and as such have the sole power to hand over power to anyone.

You should also ask questions about Obasanjo, Gowon, and all the state governors including ministers who should have been there. Keep chasing shadows.

Obi was among the first people that sent his condolences. What else is greater than that. His presence at the burial wouldn't have risen the corpse.
