Global Terrorism Index: Nigeria down from 3rd to 8th place by DrMB(op): 9:24am On Jul 16, 2025
Nigeria’s resilience and ongoing efforts have pushed it down from 3rd to 8th place by 2022, according to the Global Terrorism Index.
Nigeria was the 3rd most terrorized Nation in 2014 but now has improved to the 8th in 2022.

That drop from 3rd to 8th on the global terrorism Index really shows Tinubu’s commitment to tackling terrorism head-on and pushing for real progress in national security.

Fair progress. Kudus to the Tinubu's government. However, Nigeria is still far from the woods. The recycling of terrorists as repentant deradicalised and rehabilitated terrorists is a no no.

The recycling of terrorists as repentant deradicalised and rehabilitated terrorists is a no no. Does anyone noticed that most of those affected are Islamic countries?

That was the ranking done in 2022, before Tinubu’s government 😂.

I’m sure Nigeria would rank worse climbing up from 8 to 4 in 2025 ranking

Is it that Nigeria has made positive progress or that other better ranked countries are having it worse?

The report doesn't include 2023, 2024 and 2025 so it has nothing to do with Tinubu.

Buhari was still president in 2022

If they have ranked Nigeria number one, people like you will be demonizing Tinubu but since you are bitter, you will not praise him from reducing it from third position to eight. We know you people.
