The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has announced the launch of a new digital platform for the Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Automated Card (CERPAC) application process. The new portal, accessible at https://cerpac.immigration.gov.ng , will enable applicants to submit their CERPAC applications online, enhancing transparency, efficiency, and the overall user experience.

As part of the Federal Government's efforts to reform and improve the NIS, the digital platform is set to revolutionize the application process. From August 1st, 2025, the use of physical CERPAC forms will be discontinued, and all applications must be submitted solely through the online portal. Applicants with paid but un-submitted forms are advised to complete and submit them before July 31st, 2025, to avoid loss of application status and associated payments.

The NIS urges individuals and companies assuming Immigration Responsibility for expatriates to complete all pending submissions within the stipulated timeframe to avoid inconvenience. Any CERPAC form not submitted after the deadline will be rendered void and invalid. For further information and correspondence, the public is directed to contact the Service through the office of the Public Relations Officer.

And some New Nigeria is possible still to support those who brought Nigeria backward because they are in support of their coalition. This present minister of interior makes me wonder what are previous ones are doing in their service. They are just there to declare a public Holiday. Aregbe and others God will judge all of you

This is a very nice development.

Awaiting that tax one to get fully implemented as well....we'll then see if its a revenue problem or just plain mismanagement.

I commend the ministers efforts on digitisation of the immigration related application process. But most of their webspaces are not standard enough. The cdcfib job application portal that was recently opened is yet to function properly, the interior ministry website looks like it hasn't been updated for years, they still have post from several years ago - I stand to be corrected- when aregbesola was minister. No be by going online
