The All Progressives Congress (APC) has clinched victory in all 20 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) of Lagos State in the just concluded 2025 council elections. From Agege to Ibeju-Lekki, from Bariga to Victoria Island, the ruling party maintained a clean sweep, reaffirming its grip on the grassroots structure of Nigeria’s commercial capital.
But in a democracy, when one party wins everything, is it dominance or something deeper?

My street local goverment alone, no party came out for election

Officials didn't show up with materials at festac,Amuwo odofin, Coker,orile iganmu etc.
Yet, APC won!

If this attitude repeats itself during 2027 state and Presidential elections, it's invitation for anarchy.
