I remember back in 2022, some people used to insult President Tinubu for always giving to the North, both him and his wife donated to almost every tragedy that happens their in the north. And he has been doing this even way longer than that time. Yes, he got the votes needed in 2023 but some elements in the north like Aminda are now writing and saying all sorts of bad things to discredit Tinubu. Same Tinubu that stood by Buhari both 2015 and the latter relection in 2019. Atiku can take all the Northern votes, since he's now the leader of the north according to his boys. President Tinubu will still get his 25% spread in the North in a two horse raise with Atiku. Atiku may take some parts the President's 2023 votes but Atiku won't take majority of the presidents 2023 votes. Atiku did poorly in the South in the last election and it's going to get worse. Obi's 2million SE votes is intact whether or not he joined a coalition but those votes Obi won't be getting in SS and NC president Tinubu will achieve them like my SS brothers dey talk. Atiku will still lose. He lost in 2006 when he went all out against his boss and defect to another party to contest in 2007. He lost again in 2015 when he failed to help GED win reelection and position himself as a successor like Tinubu and Buhari did. I don't see any permutation that can make Atiku President. Gov Diri is going to defect to APC, same with Gov Adeleke meaning the whole of SW and SS are for Tinubu's reelection. If Tinubu sweep SS and SW and get significant votes in North. His electoral victory is sure. |

Fear and trepidation, is that you? Tinubu is on the right track with his Southern trajectory but please stop creating all these pathetic pity threads. He should continue to strive to make up for the 5.6m Northern votes he will lose in the South but he should focus on winning the people over and not the politicians. Someone who won with muslim-muslim ticket is suddenly pivoting to brand himself as the Southern and Christian candidate? Dead on arrival. Where are the strong Northern voices who stood strong for Tinubu's election in 2023? Which Northerner is Tinubu banking upon to deliver the North for him? Bring Reno Omokri and Daniel Bwala to come campaign for him in the North. There is always a payback for treachery, betrayal, arrogance and ungratefulness. |

So because South South Governors are defecting Tinubu would automatically win the South South, you talk as if the residents of the south south are small children belonging to the governors, who doesn't have any sense of descenment about who to vote for! In a free and fair election Tinubu wouldn't get up to fifty thousand votes in any state in the south-south irrespective of the party of the governors, those still thinking that these governors defecting to the APC would win Thier state for Tinubu should please wake up, I live in the south! Tinubu will lose massively here |

Leave long story.. the reason PBAT won was because he is a Yoruba man and the North trust Yorubas to protect their interest and well-being unlike some.. When coup happened in Niger republic, the President didn't take any rash actions, instead consulted with Governors of the Northern States that share boundary with Niger republic to get their opinion (note that they were not all members of APC). That's wisdom and it is what Northerners like about Yorubas. Atiku is the complete opposite.. the man still lives in the past with "born to rule" mentality. Unfortunately, such is not the reality in present day Nigeria. |

What real development has Tinubu brought to the south? Most of the federal roads in the south are bad. What has he done for the south? |

AMINDA:Lol. The only one that spoke for him then but is against the president now is El Rufai. All others are in line. You talk like there's no northerner in his government. You talk like there are no Northern Governor, Senator, or House of Rep members that are APC members. Who dey fear party with non political office holder? Your league is full of former this and that. And you think that will unseat the one party state we have right now? Dreamer. I specifically mentioned you because you are one of the very few northerners that are campaigning for Atiku but y'all make yourselves look like majority. After you and Sarrki that are faceless. I don't know any northerner that is using their face to talk bad against Tinubu. |

oseremhe:You really don't understand politics. Nigerians vote from top to bottom. If they are voting APC it's APC all through or how did Labor party produce governor, senator and house of rep? Y'all are quick to deceive your own selves when you know the truth. |
| Re: Tinubu's Alignment With The South A Sensible Move. by alanto(op): 7:48am On Jul 17, 2025 |
flokii:No. I'm pointing at people like Aminda and Sarrki that are making atiku the new Northern leader. Anyhow e dey. He'll still lose. |

He has no option, that's why. Few places left to rig.................. that's why. |
| Re: Tinubu's Alignment With The South A Sensible Move. by alanto(op): 7:50am On Jul 17, 2025 |
amazingspiderma:Rather he's checkmating Atiku's Northern votes in time. |
| Re: Tinubu's Alignment With The South A Sensible Move. by AMINDA: 7:51am On Jul 17, 2025 |
alanto:If you believe all these, why then did you create the thread? Tinubu's allies and Northern voters are still intact so why then do you try to rationalise his pivot to the South? I hope you're reading the comments of Southsoutherners? Barring rigging, Tinubu cannot win the Southsouth in 2027. He "won" only Rivers state in the Southsouth the last time and nothing has changed. |

alanto:The issue with South is this... Leaders of South can only get you 30% max of the votes the people are independent they vote who they like South East is completely anti tinubu South South vote relatively similar to South East... And now opposition have people to protect their votes in the South Best Tinubu can get is 60% Southern votes which I doubt he would see I reckon in the range of 30 to 40% |

What really is the south, I thought the south ended 2015. Which south am I hearing of today? |

alanto:Gaskiyan.. The paperweight politicians, social media influencers and noisemakers in North can't stop PBAT's re-election. |

Remember..when I always talk about SOUTHERN UNITY IS DEAD... they believe it's banter Tinubu has not done anything to even exercise a sense of comrade with all Southern NIGERIA. He oversees a Government of YORUBA people and the votes he will get are basically from his region. The SS will NOT be his play ground. I want to see how WIKE will repeat his antics when he was Governor. Things are much different NOW than before. Tinubu is fighting a southern region that sees the glaring betrayal initiated by the South west against a SS man called Jonathan. This election go shock Yoruba people wey support TINUBU totally. The North is gone ..the North Central is Gone. How does he want to do this? The fear is obvious..and it must materialize totally in his abject defeat. ![]() mrvitalis: |

alanto: I didn't bother myself reading the post. So after alignment, it will then be government for Y@rubas solely? Nigeria is for everyone and let love lead. |

esnbrutality:The real reason Tinubu got what he got in South South during the last election is simply because Obi and labour had no body to protect their votes ADC fielding Atiku and Obi would pull and be able to protect minimum of 50% South South votes Net votes from South East would cancle out what ever Tinubu wins South West with Middle belt divided as usual The loss of Tinubu in the North would be his downfall |
| Re: Tinubu's Alignment With The South A Sensible Move. by Peterobiisathie(f): 8:25am On Jul 17, 2025 |
mrvitalis:Obi will never settle for less How can someone who won in 2023 deputize the person who came last That is nonsense |

It's baffling to see that with what nigerians are going through under tinubu that some people still want him to continue as president. Na wa. Why would any sane nigerian stand in the queue to vote tinubu? |

mrvitalis:May I remind you what happe ed i the last election and likely to happen again. Inec intentionally gave south east the lowest voters apathy. Like it was so low you will begin to wonder if south east people actually registered in the first place. States like anambra has very lowturn out. Southeast has the lowest number in voters turnout while registering was very high. This was an insider job in inec. So when you guys are humping, remember insider job is there to cancel lots of things. The same may likely happen if overlooked again. It is more important than mobilisation and having someone to protect votes. Eyes should be on inec from the beginning till the end starting now. What happened to south east votes 2023. |
