So the breweries are generating a lot of revenue for Anambra? No wonder PO invested in it. He understood the local industry. That's what it takes to be a good President, understand the country you're leading, and what will bring money and opportunities for your country

Revenue from FirstBank alone is worth more than the brewery almost 5 times.

Just imagine how developed Anambra would have been had Obi given priority to critical sectors of the economy.

If private institutions can generate this much, then imagine how much more the state would make if he made the state very conducive for more companies to flock in.

Government have no business investing in private businesses, just basic amenities and critical infrastructures and watch the private sectors do their magic.

Why Peter Obi come make false assertion say na the Brewery dey pay highest tax in Anambra Statehuh

This rebuttal aside...why is it that Anambra State Government always have that habit of going against whatever Peter Obi sayshuh

This speaks volume ...Peter Obi is not even a respected elder in his own very State of Origin.

It's a big concern.

For example, a Fayose, Saraki will not say something and their State Government will debunk it...even if na lie, the State Government will have to find a way to manage it.

Peter Obi's own get as e be jare

Aside the brewery being an indigenous company. What else?
Re: Top 6 Sources Of Anambra State's IGR — 2024 by kolente: 4:40pm On Jul 17, 2025
The value of the shares/ stocks of International Breweries has also spiked in the last 3 months better than it's entire 2024 performance.

Nigerians and emotions are 5 and 6. Not facts and logic.
A man whose only laudable achievement is a brewery is competent and should become the president.
But the man who laid the blue print for a mega state. Built millennium schools attract investors and invest in security (RRS) to the extent that the former resides in the latter's state after his tenure shouldn't be the president and is incompetent.

Obi was right afterall, kudos to him and his breweries

They said his breweries was useless and worthless, yet it is the top earner to the state after the Banks. Ignorant minds who could not successfully run a kiosk spend days mocking Obi for investing in breweries

The same brewery soludo say it's next to nothing

Fear politicians
Wrong , he said the money invested in stocks , not the investment in breweries , moreover ,Anambra has just a fraction of that breweries since it's owned by private firm .

OBI has left the office many years ago. Others can invest in other places. OBI has done is part let others do their own part.

It is people like you that always wishes government shares money with the citizens to buy food instead of building roads, bridges and critical infrastructures.

indigenous industry, none comes close. You can't compare first bank that has been over hundred years with a company that is less than two decades. With right investment and expansion, they will eventually catch up with first bank.

What happens in South East is the concern of everyone.

When any part of the country prospers, it's definitely gonna have a multiplier effect on other region.
