It's not a bad idea or new thing to change street names and it happens in some parts of the country but it'll take time for the new name to effect on human beings if you doubt it ask Nepa and Buju even Wizkid is still battling with his new name Bigwiz.

Do you people even know that fees are collected for street names? I'm suspecting that the former street names bearer were owing or defaulting in payment.

In my street now, they have issued notice to Landlords that wishes to adopt the street to be named after them.

In my view things like street naming should be free and should be after first person that first built house there.

Yes, LCG collects street naming levy. It's annoying that government collects money for every little things now.

Nothing new here,when streets names are no longer paid for LG request interested people to apply. Change of names happens and payment continues.
Some of the names are over 60 years. The original owners are either dead and possible their families are no longer living in those areas to be paying the service fees
