Saying you will move them to another program is UNACCEPTABLE!

Either you go through the hard way, meet the Minister of Education...turn it to National Emergency and let the Minister of Education seek Presidential waiver from the Council for these children to finish their study.

We need Doctors.

If we feel the infrastructure they have been trained with other the years is inadequate...subject then to additional makeshift trainings...maybe 6months ...instead of just cancelling their efforts!

You need doctors but not half baked, all over the world Dental schools have quota which must not be exceeded for safety of patients. The best solution is to transfer them to other schools. Except the students are unsure of their academic ability. When Nigerians in medical schools in Ukraine came back due the war,some were absorbed into Nigeria medical schools.

I remember in Ahmadu Bello University Zaria where they schemed a Southern Kaduna man from being VC because he is a Christian.

Ordinarily, one would have expected the Minister for Education to have waded in with the intent to know the following:

1. How much did each student pay to secure the admission knowing fully well that money would have been the reason for this abnormality ?

2. What are the roles of the Admission officer and the Dean?

3. How culpable is the VC herself because all these Channels interview are just meant to wash herself clean.

Go deep down now and you will see the same people lamenting about corruption in the country.

You are the one that don't understand what it takes to train medical personnel. All over the world medical and Dental schools have quota and it depends on availability of training facilities, as well as teachers or lecturers.

The Obi you're referring to is a native of Calabar. Generally, most names from Akwa Ibom, Calabar, Some parts of South South and Entire South East sounds alike and in most cases has same spelling but means something different

100 level we were about a thousand students or more.


For a course that only needed about 100 students.

As far back as 17 years ago, when I was in school, I had a room mate who spent 6 solid years in Unijos studying Pharmacy. At the end of the program, they were told their accreditation was withdrawn and so, they couldn't graduate.

In reality, Unijos never had the accreditation. They admitted students in the hope that Unijos would get full accreditation before the students conclude their studies.

After wasting his years, he had to come back down south to restart his University education in the Biological sciences.

I know this particular guy. He was my lodge mate at UNN.

This is wrong. She's from Northern Cross River (Atam) and not Igbo. Since inception, no non-Cross Rivieran has ever been elected as a VC, but there's been lots of DVCs from Igbo, Yoruba, etc

She's not Atam. She is Boki from Cross River Central. Her son Hillary is in the CRSHA.

The pioneer VC of Unical was Yoruba. Professor Emmanuel Ayandele

Two Profs from Northern Nigeria have also been VC.

Also, VCs are appointed, not elected.

The VC should be sacked for shirking her responsibilities. Claiming she only just knew last week that her instruction to stick to the allotted quota wasn't adhered to is balderdash.

While she's already thrown the admissions office, Dean/Provost under the bus and exonerating herself from the whole malfeasance beneath this troubling scandal, she should also be made to face the music squarely for not knowing what was going on right under her nose.

Unical has never done anything right,it’s in the school DNA,atam lecturers including ghostwrited professors behaved as if they have not seen money before and are always demanding gratifications from students especially igbo’s and Akwa Ibom’s students.The VC knows she has covered up so many things.
