Yep, HBO came back stronger like i guessed after seeing this year's lineup.

HBO had a very ordinary Emmys last year out. Kinda even looked bad for it's standards.
But they bounced back, bigger and better. Even breaking their own previous record.

Let's see how the WINS plays out.

Apple TV has been growing yearly but Amazon just continues to underperform and be the odd one out. FX seeing a huge drop after overperforming last season.

Now I gotta accelerate watching some of these shows on the watchlist I haven't gotten to yet. 🤧

I just know that its The Day of the Jackal that is carrying peacock on its back for these nominations.

Lol, funny enough, The Day of The Jackal just has a single nomination in Best Cinematography category.

Saturday Night Live 50 and The Traitors brought the biggest haul to Peacock with 6 & 5 noms respectively.

No matter how hard i tried, i just couldn't get past the first few episodes of S1. It didn't help that it came out around the peak years of "GOT", and fans of the show were trying to place both on the same pedestal, which i found laughable.

Tried to restart it years later, didn't have the patience for it..so i just had to let go.

Funny enough, I followed all 3 seasons of the Sequel show, Vikings: Valhalla, and i absolutely loved it 🫣😩

I have been meaning to go back but it is now more than a decade of procrastination.
Like how I finally devoured Breaking Bad, I know one day one day, I will get time for it

VIKINGS was a GOATED show and could easily compare with Game of Thrones best years. It's that good and addictive.

Valhalla is a weak imitation compared to the GOAThood of VIKINGS.

The show being compared to GOT isn't really an exaggeration from the fanbase. It's gritty, mature, betrayal, and as politically intriguing and brutal power plays as Game of Thrones was.
GOT is my greatest TV show of all time as everyone knows I'm a superfan of that franchise but VIKINGS also comes very very close.

Where GOT edges it out is just the fantasy elements and grand scale in its final seasons and we all know the biggest draw— Dragons!!
Vikings also has the unpredictability and high stakes as GOT.

Vikings mistake was coming out in the strongest years of a phenomenon like GOT.
If it came out now, it will be what everyone talks about.
It's no joke the name Ragnar Lothbrok was very popular throughout Pop Culture back then alongside names like the Lannisters and Starks.

Once you get past first 5 episodes, na enjoyment galore.

The Ragnar name was popular ngl but mann, the start was too slow paced, hence the reason i lost interest fast.

But if i say i will pick it up anytime soon, i would be lying 😩. Ever notice how it is difficult to go back to see shows that you didn't follow when it was airing? Especially those with many seasons and more than a dozen load of episodes?...Just too many shows and movies out to occupy your time.
