Lagos state has commissioned Nigeria’s first Local Government-owned radio station.

The Ishokan 106.7 FM is built by Mushin LGA.

This is a welcome development from the administrator of Mushin local government.

I hope 85% of the workers there are Mushin indigene while other Yorubas occupied the remaining 15%.

Can't remember the last time I listened to a radio station. Last time I did was two years ago and it was Classic FM. If I can stop watching GOTV, why should I listen to radio stations?

Anyways, it's a good development for radio listeners especially those from the SW

They dont need to be Mushin indigenes.
Being residents there is enough.

Afterall, we are not all indigenes of the communities where the companies we work for are located.

The radio station belongs to the indigenous of Mushin LG and they are free to employ 100% of their children.

It would have been more laudable if the LG Council built a Water station that distribute water to every street in Mushin. The radio station doesn't do equal service as portable water supply.

I wish they conduct all their programmes in their local language since it local government radio station. They don't need to impress anyone but for the development and unity of their people.
