The challenge before the Hausa nation.

The Hausa have had mass literacy for over five hundred years but in Ajami the Arabic script. Any Hausa boy could read and write over five hundred years ago when most of the rest of the world were illiterate. The Hausa still keep up at it but at the expense of western education. Up till today the average Hausa is literate in Ajami.
What any nation needs to be great is compulsory basic education, scholarship awards for those who qualify for higher education, universal healthcare and infrastructure support for industry.
The Hausa need to embrace western education the same way they embraced Islamic education for centuries. They have arable land to feed themselves and that is the foundation of nation building. Once you can feed yourself, the rest is easy. What needs to be done is to organize everywhere, enforce a taxable minimum wage on employers of labour and use the proceeds to fund nation building.
That is how everybody is doing it. The tax collected will be used to pay teachers, doctors and other civil servants.
It needs hands joined together to be done and it was hands joined together that achieved the milestone of universal literacy centuries ago. It can therefore be done again.

If you as a Nigerian state have to wait for federal revenue to operate, it applies to you too. You also are being carried on the back. What if the fg revenue is not there?.
All states apart from Lagos and Rivers are guilty. Why should a state filled with millions of income earners among them HNIs be depending on the federal government for upkeep?

I guess you are from an oil producing state?. You can't advance as a nation by depending on non tax revenue. You need to depend on revenue from industry that includes all workers
