How can a whole nation's largest national employment agency not have a single functioning social media presence, can handle simple recruitment flow in peace, I mean the total number of persons applied were less than 500k and they can't get a proper server with all the resources available to them to cater for the needs of the applicants. Simple password reset has become an uphill mountain no one can climb and some of us will have to forfeit even though we're qualified. Why does ppl in charge of this things display such incompetence to a painful level, we have too many tech geniuses in this country that can take of website dev yet here we are, there ticket companies that take care of sports and concerts ticketing that deals with massive millions on their site at a time and they resolve issues, mediocrity is the order at the helm of affairs in this country and it's just hurts so bad because it isn't rocket science. They are not even on social media to answer questions or take complaints or email to send complaints, just blatant laziness.

We shouldn't blame the government for everything please.

Yes, the country is bad, leadership is worse, the people heading it are the worst, but you're forgetting a YOU factor here.
Are you trying to tell me in this day and age that you don't have a password manager? (Knowing the kinda system you're up against , you still left loopholes for the system to exploit you, all the while knowing the system is designed against you.) How did you think the rest of them are logging into the site? They're all on password managers, which you have installed in your phone as a carry come thing.
BTW, heard they MIGHT fix the password reset thing, so hold on to your hickeys and get on a password manager program to prevent a next time.

I actually do have a password manager and my chrome do save my passwords, this one was just an anomaly where the site refused to through and I had to use my mom's device and somehow misplaced where I saved it. Nevertheless, it is not an excuse for a nation as large as Nigeria's highest employer to be so nonchalant about being competent. Ppl change password all the time and the so called traffic on the site is literally less than one million, they said 430k persons applied and they can't handle simple expected technicalities. There are youth corpers, young employees that should have been trained and prepared to handle social media enquiries for a period like this, going ghost with no where to be contacted and not being able to fix simple technical issues is a serious intellectual laziness on the part of the people in charge. Taking government jobs and delivery the bare minimum is the reason we are still where we today... those in charge are not serious ppl. It's still the mediocrity and doing the bare minimum that is the problem so it's a them problem not mine.

Then you are not a serious person and very shortsighted person, do you know the number of applications a job hunting person sends out in a week? There are also instances where you type in your password and the system somehow rejects by saying it isn't correct, why are you ppl defending this level incompetence? Every single website where one has to register has a password reset part too and it's crazy to me that some of you think they're trying because less than 500k ppl are causing traffic on their website, same thing they did during registration when it wasn't opening until few days to go, this kind mentality is very wrong.

The sum budgeted for website hosting for this process by the commission is about N10million. What do you expect?

If it were a private company 10mil naira would have been enough for hosting a website, it isn't rocket science, even small business owners have very effective websites, and fix issues as fast as possible

So your mom's phone doesn't have a password manager? Oh and 10M for hosting a server isn't the flex you think it is, hence the problem. Those betting sites and concert ticketing sites you think so highly of spend more than 10M to maintain seamless server side services and it is worth it because of the ROI, get your head on straight and stop writing epistle, you're Nigerian, behave like one, make the system work for you or japa to paradise...such as it is.

I didn't save it on hers, I wrote it clearly on my reply, and even if someone didn't save their password, it's not a good enough reason for a whole federal government largest employer to not able to generate simple reset link because they have traffic on the site, after more than 36hours...you guys are strange for defending this level laziness and many ppl are going into the service with this mentality, no one seems to understand excellence because we're used to the bare minimum from our government. Don't be rude to me, maybe you should get your own head on and demand a little bit of excellence from ppl being paid to deliver it, how many persons register for this process? I'm inconvenient, it's not the first government job application that have failed, and this is a very sad attempt at sarcasm,it's laughable...you can keep fighting for the bare minimum has Mr saver of passwords, you have bn on this thread since eternity ago

Those of us that weren't shortlisted for this Federal Civil Service job can we at least know why? What exactly did we do wrong? Did we apply for the wrong category or were our credentials not good enough?

I feel it would have made more sense that everyone be giving equal opportunity to compete, because I don't exactly see why I would apply for a job where you posted the requirements which I clearly met and yet I'm not shortlisted, so what exactly was the criteria used that made me not eligible?

When someone calls you to behave as a normal Nigerian.... It carries a lot of negative vibes. Just behave as the system is or go in with the flow.... Don't complain, just act as the normal Nigerian that you are.
Since you know how the system operates why do you complain lol.... When applying for hundreds of jobs always write down all the passwords and username, don't fault or complain about the system, blame yourself for forgetting to document because that can be used as a criteria to screen you out lol..... Chai Nigeria where the complainer is accused of been complacent of handling issues while the author or the originator of this complacency is been exonerated.

If na federal government job person wan take survive person for don go for long.... But God in his infinite mercy has been grateful to us without job or even connection. With your excellent grades you are still been screened out what can the righteous say nothing but praise be to him, only him knows the best for us. His plan and purpose are still good and we remain hopeful in every situations.
