There's more crime per capita committed by US citizens than immigrants.

This argument is jejune and puerile.
Let them use their security infrastructures to handle other crimes committed by those legally admissible, no room to waste resources on illegal aliens.
Each country should take care of their citizen!
The US owe no one an apology, they're doing what is right to protect their country and territory.
You can't destroy your country and run to the US to destroy it too!!

I don't know why Nigerians are fuming over the 3-month single entry visa brouhaha. US embassy had done it several times in the past. When I first travelled to the US in 2004, I was issued 3-month , single entry. They always used their discretion to issue visa back then. Later they improved on it by issuing a 1yr multiple entry on B1/B2 visas across board. Later, they increased it to 2 years and Nigerians began abusing it. They'd exceed the date on their flight ticket and extend it to enable them hustle.

Some stay beyond 6 months approved at the POE thinking the embassy wouldn't know during renewal. A lot of drop box applications who overstayed with their last visa were asked to show up for an interview with a 221g. They know your entry and exit days via information sharing portal with the airlines grin. As the number of these abusers surged, they suspended the drop box option indefinitely. After covid, they resumed drop box in order to clear the backlogs caused by covid. They were issuing 5 years until trump entered. By the grace of God, my 5-year visa would be valid until the end of his tenure, no shaking.

In all fairness they've done well. Na we dey overdo tinz
