Unnecessary hulabo, it is not a name that makes an institution but infrastructures, intellects and sound management. What is the ranking of UNIMAID among Nigerian, African and world universities.

If the associate professor is uncomfortable with the renaming he is free to resign.

We must stop renaming our educational institutions after politicians. University of Maiduguri is 50 years old this year for heaven's sake.

Let the students and the entire university community protest and reject the renaming.

That's how Nigerian politicians will be doing busybody; why rename a 50-year old institution after a man who never contributed anything to its founding? Buhari for that matter, that couldn't present his secondary school certificate!
It's an insult on our collective sensibilities.

Harvard was renamed, it’s new name is a household name today, go and find out Havard’s first name; so come up with another excuse.

This is Tinubu, not Goatluck Jonathan, even when the whole lazy youths in Nigeria protested, Tinubu remained steadfast and came to national television to say “NO GOING BACK”, so if all of Northerners protest against this name change, Tinubu will not yield, so don’t waste your time.
