RenaissanceGuy:Obama isn't buhari or tinubu. Hope you know. During Jimmy carter's last days, if you remember recently, "get well soon" messages had been flying in already, from across the globe. The moment he was declared dead, condolences was like a Tsunami. Same with Mandela, aka Madiba. Even Nigeria wasn't left behind. |

Eriokanmi:So what if the media can't capture all the countries sending in condolence messages through letters? In fact, what are you driving at?? |

valiju:Agreed and I'd respond to you due to your civility..What of Mandela...and recently, Jimmy carter? Messages had been pouring in, right from when their bodies were still in hospital. We're just not being treated fine outside. Thats by the way. If you fly to any of the western or Asian countries and the airline had an issue with schedule, instead of leaving passengers stranded, they'd lodge them in their hotels free. Do you know they're always selective of us? Once they see you're Nigerian, they'd tell you you're not eligible for that service. They'd be claiming you do not have a transit visa to enter the city and lodge blabla, knowing fully well that those who were given the same privilege had no transit visa. When I was going to Los Angeles by Emirates, we had a ridiculously long layover at the airport. They wanted lodging all of us the moment they saw I'm Nigerian, the only passenger from Nigeria going to Los Angeles on that flight, they said, hold on sir and I was like , are you guys OK? I don't know when that word came out of my mouth. Suddenly they apologised and said they're going to attend to me and no issues. They later came and said, pls let's go to the immigration for your free transit visa because we'd need to lodge you in the Emirates hotel inside town. I got my transit visa stamped and went to the arrival area for the bus that would take us to our hotel. There was a day I boarded Turkish Airlines and the meal menu said, chicken with rice. Nothing of such was served on that flight but pasta. The crew said they switched the menu without them knowing moreover the plane was a hired one and theirs was to operate it, imagine. after paying so much money for our ticket. Everyone just maintained cos if we complained at home, nothing would still happen. Leadership says it all. We need a leader who'd redeem our image. If you go put there, you'd understand the feelings better. |

ehiski23:True. What of Mandela and Jimmy carter, most recently?Obama, a sitting American president attended mandela funeral's. We're not just taken seriously. I've got several reasons behind my claim. This doesn't have anything to do with politics but leadership |

RenaissanceGuy:There would be legions of condolences. Even former US president Jimmy Carter who died recently at more than 100 years had condolences swarming all over by world leaders. |

Dalohad:I agree with you on that, but Nigeria is not on the same pedestal with a country like US, UK, Germany, France, etc. |

Buhari na the most self-centered person both in life and death... probably kept/rigged APC to make him relevant to Nigeria even when he knows that his hospice was near.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nigeria 🇳🇬 @NigeriaMFA https://x.com/NigeriaMFA/status/1945928321579311229?t=leBapgo4AJCDVhVyTxOWDw&s=19
|

More leaders are signing the condolence register, but due to Nairaland's picture restrictions, I'll create those posts on Monday or Tuesday. |

Someone said he died 2017 and his people believe him. The other guy then started saying go and verify, na so we decided to verify and discovered that after taking overdose of mpurumirin he said all the nonsense talk. |
