Hon. Ureshemi Inspires Edo Youths to Back Governor Okpebholo’s Bold Path to State Renewal.

In a powerful call to action, Hon. Victor Ureshemi Akande has urged Edo youths to throw their full support behind the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo, applauding the Governor’s bold and strategic steps towards renewing and rebuilding the state’s infrastructure and institutions.

Speaking at a youth engagement forum held in Abuja on Thursday, Hon. Ureshemi described Governor Okpebholo as a “leader with vision, courage, and a genuine commitment to the future of Edo State,” noting that the Governor’s developmental strides are already yielding visible results in roads, healthcare, education, and energy.

“This is not the time for apathy or division,” Hon. Ureshemi stated. “It is a defining moment for Edo youths to align with the leadership that is focused on real solutions and tangible development. Governor Okpebholo is laying the foundation for a stronger, more united, and economically viable Edo.”

He highlighted ongoing projects such as road rehabilitations across local government areas, the revamp of technical colleges, expansion of rural electrification, and renewed investment in youth empowerment and enterprise support as evidence of a governor who listens and delivers.

Ureshemi, a respected political figure and grassroots mobilizer, emphasized the role of youth in governance and community transformation, urging them not to be swayed by political distractions or opposition propaganda.

“The future belongs to you. And that future is being shaped right now by a governor who has chosen action over rhetoric. Let us support him, hold him accountable, and be part of the journey,” he added.

The event drew youth leaders, student union representatives, civil society groups, and traditional leaders who commended Ureshemi for his consistent advocacy for youth inclusion and good governance.

He is not a senator, he is my friend and from same LGA. He is the senior special advicer on legislative matters to Akpabio. He will likely contest house of rep in my constituency. The fourth term occupier has not be really good and power is returning to his northern zone of my LGA. We are in the southern part. If Akpabio back him up like he did to okpeboho, then he will win the primaries of APC. He is so close to the governor. He has been using his office to assist some people from his axis ever since 2023.
