Overhyped land price. Disadvantage of a capitalist society. Man is the only creature on earth paying for rent to live on earth given freely by Nature.

Is the price of the land really appreciating tho? Back in the early 2000's, you would need around 2.5 million dollars to get 180 million back then because of the low exchange rate around 50 to 60 naira per dollar. Now with the high exchange rate, you just need around 1.3million dollars to get 2 billion naira with the current exchange rate of 1,500 naira per dollar

So is the land really appreciating or is the price just inflation driven
That's why I feel disgusted by the clowns who praise their baba suwe aso Rock impostor by claiming that there is now more revenue for states and such to share because of the subsidy removal. So so billion now compared to before. Clumsy dunder heads.

Even the minimum wage of N18, 000 a month under Jonathan was far more than their current N70, 000 that they are even struggling to pay - when adjusted for corresponding USD exchange rates.

With both hands in the crotch. Most lands in Lagos are extremely overpriced

Not bad... Hope to own a plot there too by God's grace. 🤲🏽

The view of the ocean from that place is 2nd to none. 😎
What if the ocean overflow its boundary and pose a danger to houses around it. Are you aware of the global flooding affecting several major cities of the world?

That's like land banking? If you want to take that route, I will suggest that you get the title sorted completely. If it is bareland and you leave it bare, it raises risk of being sold even behind you and whoever takes possession will sort the papers and now use court to fight you sir.

I hope you know that Mainland is Yaba, Akoka Ebute Meta, Surulere environs so you don’t confuse Ijedodo in Alimosho with Mainland.

Nice thinking, but I believe this has been factored in already. In fact, I believe that environment is less flood prone than naturally low areas, cos this is man-made...

Either ways, I am not scared of my neighbourhood 😎

First, how much was Dollar/Naira exchange rate in 2013? Ans: 157 Naira/Dollar. So that 180 Million Naira in 2013 was worth $1,152,000.

Now, in 2025, $1,152,000 (at an exchange rate of 1550 Naira to the Dollar) will be some N1.728 Billion Naira.

So that the price of a plot of land going for some 2 Billion Naira means that a plot of land in Eko Atlantic has not really appreaciated by a lot of margin.

If it was #180m in 2000 and now #2b, the dollar value has not really changed.

Remember that in 2000, #180m was $1.8M

Anyone that had $1.8m in the year 2000 up until now (25years) in a compound interest deposit at 5% will have about $6M

$6m today is about 9 billion Naira

Why N2bn? What resulted in such a sum? Overly inflated and spicy for money laundering.

It could worth more now since after First Bank Holdings Plc moved its headquarter there and when the US consulate finishes its about 50 acres or so that it owns there.

The best time to invest in my Lagos was 20 years ago and the next best time is today.

If you bless Lagos, Lagos will bless you.

Thank you Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for this your great vision and legacy. Like the sound track in the Efunroye Tinubu epic movie , I dedicate the line "Eko o ni gbagbe re fun iṣe rere rere ti o ṣe" to you Mr President. God bless you sir.
keep claiming and dreaming. Those who didn't waste their youths like some people are busy buying up the entire place.

See wetin dem turn ds world into esp Nigeria,,d naira is more useless than any currency in d world..No more thousand n million
The devaluation of our Naira is one of the many things that have changed for worse since ebilokan packaged his expired northerner to replace southerner Jonathan and his privatisation and deregulation PDP capitalist policies. The policies that gave us 16 years of widespread prosperity and high employment productivity.

All that has changed for worse unemployment, inflation, extreme poverty, insecurity etc despite APC promises to make us better.

World Bank offers Nigeria forex rate advice, as Tinubu eyes N200/Dollar rate

April 23, 2023

The President-elect said he would work with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to *bring down the exchange rate to N200 in his first term.*

“My administration will collaborate with the Central Bank to harmonize the fiscal and monetary policy to achieve immediate stabilization of the value of the naira against the US dollars and other currencies and in the short term, strengthen the naira by boosting the supply of foreign currency and moderating demand.

“The short-term goal is to achieve a naira/dollar rate of 300 naira/US$ and gradually achieve a less than 200 naira rate over the next four years, Tinubu stated.

So how much is it, using what exchange rate from your own calculator?

How does that compare with prime property in our japa destination countries, that are not overwhelmed by waterless glorified ghettos like Lagos after 26 years of ebilokan lootocracy master plan?

A 45-year-old resident and father of three, Mr.Fatai Lamide told PUNCH HealthWise that no building in the community has toilet facilities.

The Oyo State-born mechanic said, “We don’t have toilet in this area, including our compound. This canal that you see serves as toilet to all of us living in this area. We defecate inside nylon and throw it inside the canal.

“For people that don’t want to use nylon, they have a special bucket that they use after which they pour it inside the canal too.

The lack of state-owned pipe-borne water in the homes of Lagos residents has continued to be a source of concern, a non-profit group, Corporate Accountability and Public Advocacy Africa (CAPPA) has said.

At a press event to mark this year’s World Water Day, the group said its monitoring team’s visit to state-owned waterworks showed that most of them are not operational.

The group said the waterworks it visited include the ones at Maryland, Mushin, Ikorodu, Obalende, Agbowa, Onikan, Ikoyi, and Amuwo Odofin.

Only the one in Ikoyi is producing water, according to CAPPA.
