CPC will go where El-Rufai says they should go. But Tinubu will fight it with everything he has got.
Re: Who Will Inherit CPC Politicians? by JASONjnr(m): 10:44am On Jul 20, 2025
Point is, CPC is mostly of northern group and if Tinubu gives a good deal he might bring them to his team but Tinubu needs to be more careful those guys care about northern agenda than Nigeria.
Re: Who Will Inherit CPC Politicians? by dalongjnr: 10:50am On Jul 20, 2025
No one in the north has the political cloud of doing that.
El rufai, Atiku and rabiu musa kwankoso, lost that opportunity to understudy the late president.
Though, towards the end of the late buharis tenure,Atiku was making move to do that with all honesty and time didn't permit it.
Atiku is in pole position followed by el rufai who's ideology doesn't sit well with most people due to his stance on Muslim-Muslim ticket and the way he neglected the Christian community in the southern kaduna.

Nobody....
APC go cut there
ADC go cut too
Every birds to their nest.
The purpose and assignments as been completed.
Buhari don do
Na Tinubu turn.
CPC gave Tinubu the platform to get a strong foothold in the North which he as been trying to get for decades.
Wether CPC is dead or alive, Tinubu don achieve him purpose.

I am not expecting president Tinubu to name his successor after his second term tenure. Let the northerners settle that within themselves
Re: Who Will Inherit CPC Politicians? by casualobserver:
CPC or the so called Buhari votes are NE + NW. NC was never a Buhari stronghold. In 2023, Tinubu only got 3.7m votes from NE + NW.

The Buhari “12m” votes was fictitious and had already been decimated. 1) like all figures pre-BVAS, that 12m was a product of rigging, importation of voters from neighboring countries and writing of results. ) for example the serial 2m votes from Borno before BVAS did not even register 1m in 2023. In reality the figure for then Buhari vote is more like 8-9m. In fact checking the results from 2019 confirms that Buhari only got 9m votes from the NE+NW compared to the 10m he got in 2011 so already electoral reforms starting with BVAS had already been filtering the padded figures. 2) the Buhari vote has already been split by members of CPC who worked against Tinubu in 2023.

Those in CPC who were against Tinubu have already decimated the CPC vote in 2023. That figure of 3.7m is the lowest It is going to get for Tinubu.

People are talking about the CPC vote as if it hadn’t already been decimated in 2023!

It wouldn't be reasonable tho...

I expect Tinubu to name his successor after his tenure... Probably someone from Kwara or Benue or in the middle belt. This region have been neglected for decades while they help the north to win massive elections.

The middle belt will have to align with the west for votes. Tinubu understand this. Building a political relationship between two regions will solder his plans to ensure that his achievements towards Nigeria stands.

Well, never again in a long time ⌛️ will the north have someone in the place of Buhari.
He was an enigma,a colossus,a one of a kind of a leader who comes once or twice in a century
Let the south marginalize them, then you will see northern unity under one person. What made Tinibu president is because Jonathan is from the south. Had it been that it's either Atiku or Kwankwaso and Buhari if will be difficult

The question now is who will Inherit the CPC members between Atiku and President Tinubu?

I think the question should be who would Buhari's followers look to for leadership.

I think the CPC politicians only won their seats due to the might of Muhammadu Buhari. Some of those who didn't win or did not contest did not support Tinubu in 2022/2023. They are largely weightless politically.

Now, how did Buhari win over the organic following? He was noted for his spartan lifestyle and strong commitment to his people. During his time as PTF Chairman, his records demonstrated someone who'd help the poor. They felt he fought for them and did not oppress them. They also admired his accessibility and lack of luxuries.

Among his closest apostles, they have not demonstrated the gravitas of Buharideens. The closest person to that is probably his State House Chief of Protocol (Lawal Kazaure) from Jigawa state. Another person is Mamman Daura. A third is Senator Yar'adua.

But for now, what would matter is who Buhari supported before he died. Until a proper replacement is found, those angling to impose themselves might be rejected.
Spartan lifestyle.

And yet he said Abacha never stole money.

Spartan lifestyle.

And yet he raised the hand of Gandollars.

May God help poor Nigerians with such a Spartan lifestyle.

The word "inheritance" seems to be abused these days.

Did the late President Buhari will his so-called 12m voters to any individual or group?

There can only be one Buhari and he has already completed his race here on earth.

The belief that one individual or group of individuals is the "new Buhari" is delusion at its best!

The political dynamics have changed!

If Atiku allows himself to be carried away by the euphoria of automatically inheriting Buhari's famed 12m voters, then he should be ready for a rude shock.

Neither Atiku nor Tinubu will inherit them. Some will remain in APC, some will go with El Rufai, some will stand alone.

I see anyone who is asking Atiku to step down for Obi as a Tinubu supporter. How on earth can Obi win presidential election in Nigeria from opposition? I am a strong Obidient from Anambra state and I told people that Obi will lose the 2023 election either by hook or crook.

Atiku is the only person that can wrestle power from Tinubu especially if he runs with Obi. Do you think Tinubu is a gentleman like Jonathan?

Do you think Northerners will threaten to burn down the country if Obi is rigged out?

I don't want anyone shouting rigging after Obi loses 2027 election again. The closest and the shortest route to Obi's presidency is through Atiku. If not that Buhari won in 2015, do you think Tinubu would have been the president today? Obi has to build bridges, support other and learn the ruggedity and rigging methods in Nigeria election before thinking of becoming the president.

He's the most qualified but Nigerian factor will always work against him.

Anyone can argue all he wants. You don't love Obiore than I do.
Northern politicians have their own ambitions too. They know Atikus last shot is 2027 before they have chance again.

They would rather stick to Tinuhu and wait for 2031 than Atiku and they wait till 2035.

Tinubu has been doing all he can to inherit it by giving Buhari a befitting burial, conducting special fec meeting n naming a university after him

With the way Tinubu is performing or not performing you just have to assume those votes will go to Atiku
Thats a reasonable assumption considering the circumstances

The voters are not properties. Nobody will inherit them. They have their different choices.
In Nigeria voters are for sale, and when you pay for something/someone it/she/he becomes your property.
After collecting rice, vegetable oil, garri or 5k, the voters become property. Some will collect LAWMA job, some are expensive property once they give them civil service job where they will be earning 60k per month or some ridiculous salary, a lot of Lagos women became property because they gave them market stall for free.

CPC Bloc isn't particularly useful.

Only Buhari benefited and those he appointed after he came to power.

Buhari actively worked against Tinubu and he failed... as usual.

So Tinubu will win again, with or without their support.

How many of them are even still relevant?
If Buhari had worked against Tinubu,do you think Tinubu would emerge as APC candidate? I agree Buhari didn't work for Tinubu's emergence but he didn't work against him.
Re: Who Will Inherit CPC Politicians? by tunapawizzy: 1:17pm On Jul 20, 2025
In 2027 the buhari properties will be shared temporarily between Tinubu and Atiku.
The real ownership will be known in 2031 when a northerner ascends the throne. Whoever becomes president in 2031 will most likely build a connection with the northern people and own them for a long time

The CPC block has been inherited by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Tinubu doesn't seem to be serving their interests and will ruthlessly deal with them after 2027 elections if he's reelected .

The Hausa/Fulani CPC people don't think twice whenever they want to support their own.
How many of them actually supported Tinubu in 2023 elections? They will all lose again to Tinubu in 2027 and then crying rigging again

Lol. Nothing Buhari could have done to stop him. He practically endorsed Lawan. APC worked against Tinubu. You think the currency shortage was accidental ? Or the fuel shortage coincidental ?

Buhari is a failed politician and can't just fight Tinubu and he knew this as a fact.

It has happened already with Obi.

I wonder most times what his followers see in him.
