The disputed Labour Party candidate for Surulere state Constituency in the 2023 general elections, Olumide Oworu, was part of those who came out yesterday to participate in the Peter Obi @64 birthday March by the Obidient Movement.

I was surprised to see him because I thought what he did in 2023 was him trying to be opportunistic . But it’s safe to say he has some level of conviction for the course.

Before Obi, Anambra was a crime scene.

Crime rate was so high that it overwhelmed law enforcement agents and the previous governor resorted to non-state actors called Bakassi Boys who came and started butchering people in the streets of Onitsha.

Even the motto of the state was “Home for All.”

But Obi came and all that changed. He restored sanity to Anambra State.

Criminals were ran aground.

He changed the motto to “Light of the Nation.”

And from then till today, Anambra has not remained the same.

That’s what Obi will do in Nigeria - restore order.

Like he said, he will put the lunatics who have taken over this asylum called Nigeria back in the cage and ensure only sane people take charge of any facet of governance in Nigeria from the presidency to ward councilors.

Yes, we need Ibo President. Is it a crime? We have had two Yoruba Presidents namely General Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Added to that, we have had a Yoruba Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbanjo.

Did Tinubu wipe poverty out of Lagos when he ruled for eight years? As the sitting President, has he not increased poverty by unimaginable levels? Now poverty has overshadowed Nigeria and Nigerians without mercy. Are you not tired of it?
